Getting a F-5 code on my microwave 721.80829500

An E5 error code indicates a keypad failure. The usual fix is to replace the keypad, if they're still available for your model.

Many microwave CHILD LOCK features are activated / disabled by repeatedly pressing one of the function buttons or by holding it down for about 5 seconds.

Try pressing the STOP / CANCEL button 3 or 4 times in a row to see if you can the CHILD LOCK off.

If that doesn't work, also try holding down that button down for 5 seconds.

Try these same two procedures on some of the other buttons as well like the TIMER button, or the START button, or the CLOCK button.

Your best bet however would be to include the brand and model number with your question next time and then we will be able to locate the exact instructions for you.

Sorry to hear your having problems! Are you able to reach the plug, if so try unplugging it and plugging back in! This may reset your microwave? If not, here are a couple of website links you might try...

The error code F2 on your GE microwave indicates "Shorted thermal sensor", this condition will occur if a shorted thermal sensor is detected continuously over 5 seconds on convection, combination or roast cooking.

F3H Humidity sensor failure 1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. Connect a new sensor to the board (at P5).
3. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
4. If no failure code appears when starting sensor function:

Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.

Replace old sensor.
5. If failure code appears when starting sensor function:

Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.

Replace power supply board.
6. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.

The letter "d" is indicating the microwave is in a demo/learning feature.
To cancel the "demo" mode press and hold "Kitchen Timer" for 5 seconds. Two tones will sound and the small "d" will disappear from the display.

f-5 code on kenmore microwave oven means a problem with the door lock switch. Could be a bent latch or latch assembly that’s not actuating the latch switch correctly or that the latch switch itself is bad. Check the door switch, too.
