Question about Canon PIXMA MP830 All-In-One InkJet Printer
"The ink absorber is almost full.
press the printer's RESUME button to continue printing.
Contact the service center."
-this is the message every time i print.
I already clean the ink absorber several times but this message kept
on repeating. And it always requires to press the RESUME button.
Anyway, it prints well, but the message and the need to press the
RESUME button annoys me.
Any help would be very much appreciated. thanks!
The ink absorber is under the print engine and covers the whole bottom of the machine. It is 5 inches wide and over a foot long. Did you really clean this part? You can't reset the error code without getting into the diagnostic program which only a shop can do...

Eight flashes: Waste ink absorber almost full
The printer has a built-in waste ink absorber for the ink used during Print Head cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that the waste ink absorber is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, contact a Canon service representative.
Canon recommends that you call for service as soon as this error occurs. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing will no longer be possible
