Question about Dell UltraSharp 1800FP 18.1" LCD Flat Panel Monitor
Image is good when on. The on/off interval is random, between 0.5 to 2 seconds. If no video input is applied, the backlight stays on and the menu looks file. Therefore It's not the inverter board, nor the power supply board. It seems that the logic board blank the backlight thinking that the VGA signal is not available. All capacitors on the logic board checks out OK. Any suggestions?
Power control chip of the VGA input screen is not controling the input settings

If the problem is what I describe as a blue haze over the entire image projected, I was told this is a defect in the cable - we have a Dell Video Projector 2300 - and it takes only a dell VGA cable.
So, the problem is in the cable - solution is replace cable.
