How can I change the electrical connection? It has four wires. One white, one black, one green and one red. Where do I connect them?

On the back of the dryer where the plug wires in you'll see 3 screws. The white and green wires go together in the middle. look at the left and right screws and you'll see wires connecting to them from inside the dryer. just match the wires, put the black on the black and the red on the red.

I need to change the 3 wire plug on my whirlpool model LE5790XS dryer to a 4 wire plug...old one is not color coded and I dont want to hook it up wrong...whats the correct way to connect this plug?

To install your 4 wire plug ,the white wire goes to the center wiring terminal on the dryer. The green ground wire attaches to the terminal cover screw outside the dryer. The red and black wires go right and left on the dryer terminal.

I have a whirlpool dryer ler5624bwo it is zaping us how is the plug wired to the back i think maybe some one switched the black or red power for the white neutral the plug is a 4 wire 2 rectangular on...

Black and red go to the outside terminals, white goes to the middle, and green goes to the frame of the machine.  You can look up at the wires coming down to the plug terminal and match up the colors.  Your ground is green and goes to the frame of the machine.  Green is the wire that is supposed to pop the breaker and prevent you from getting shocked so make sure you hook it up to the frame.

I purchase a 4 ring dryer plug replacement

the red to red.. black to black (outside screws) or vise versa doesn't really matter.. white to center screw green to cabinet..the green wire already attached to green screw should to taken off and either cut off or taped off it can be just connected back to center screw for future use
