SOURCE: Won't accept DVD's
HI, this will happen when the lens assembly is damaged and it will need to be replaced. you can confirm by using a lens cleaner. If the system starts to read as normal after cleaning the lens with a cleaning disc, the problem will be solved but, if the problem still exist after the cleansing, you will need to replace the lens assembly. it has failed.
Most of the time, the load motor will fail and this is a integrate part of the Assembly in most cases.

SOURCE: DVD player won't work.
hi. this lens assembly is faulty. the load motor is not operating at full capacity. it is not aligning the disc with the actual lens. this assembly is whole and you will need to replace the entire lens dock in order to restore normal operations.
