Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

1 Answer

There is not enough water in the machine cycle to get them wet enough to clean them. We have hooked up a hose to fill the machine with additional water on the initial cycle. The unit still needs more water in the rinse cycle. If we don't add additional water the clothes can stand up on there own from the dirt that is still in them.

Sounds like the pressure chamber is blocked or the pressure switch is faulty

There is not enough water in my machine?

On mine, it does not swim clothes in water, but certain parts of the cycle, you do see water in the machine.

1) are the clothes damp at the end of the wash?
2) more importantly, are the clothes clean?
3) do you see / hear water enter on cycle start?

My suggestions:

1) loosen / remove the fill hose and verify you have water pressure in the fill hose.
2) read on this forum for test cycle proceedure. Run tests.
3) if it truly had no water, I am sure there would be an error code. Look that code up.
4) Download the manual, and follow their test / fix steps.

Note: the test proceedure, error codes and manual are mentioned by helpers in posts where I have had questions. See if you can look up my previous posts.

Blessings,
Darryl

Hoover washer dryer - not sure it is filling with enough water

How old is the machine and which wash cycle are you selecting? Newer machines use very little water; it is not needed.

could be one of your water solonoid valves is leaking by, where hot and cold hoses hook up in back, they get energized when calling for water then shut down when fill level is reached, some valves have filter in it, both valves come apart and can be cleaned, make sure no debri is caught in valves to prevent from closing fully

Samsung WA422PRHDWR not filling with enough water

I find that some of my clothes don't seem to get wet enough to clean them properly. I like to use the pre-wash cycle to wet everything thoroughly then the machine goes through the normal wash cycle and it seems to do a better job. Just an idea.

Hot water stops filling too soon.

Fill setting has to be adjusted and the belt is slipping on the spin cycle and not generating enough centrifugal force to get the water out.

FDB641RAS2 doesn't fill

you may have a stuck solenoid, when the cycle calls for water you should hear a click, as the solenoid opens, and water should begin to flow... otherwise check to make sure water is turned on at the shutoff where your hoses hook up to the house.

Cycle takes forever

IE is Inlet Error. Turn off the water valves behind the washer and remove the hoses from the machine end. Look inside the spot the hoses were attached to, and use a plier to pull out the screen and clean it out. (probably only need to do the cold side) Re-instert screen(s), re-attach hoses, and turn valves back on. (Also, make sure hoses are not kinked behind machine.) Times displayed are estimates, and vary due to water fill rates, and load type and size. In your case, the water fill rate is the problem.

I have an asko 11505 clothes washer. For some reason, it is not going through all of the spinning cycle, it spins for a short time, then stops abrutely. I cleaned the coin stop, cleaned out all water...

My Asko 11505 washer fills only a little water then shuts off. If I drain the washer with the drain hose from under the machine, then the machine will start up and fill enough water to fill the hose again, then shut off.

A used washer I am trying to hook up . . I have the drain hose going into the floor drain. The washer fills while at the same time draining. So it never really fills enough.

Washing machines need to be drained into a standpipe. This is a drain that is about 36" off the floor. The drain line on your washer will work fine if you have it installed in a standpipe.
by putting it down into a floor drain, you're not going to allow the machine to fill. The stand pipe will allow your machine to fill and still pump the water out during spin cycle.

Make sure there's a drain hose with a hook on the top.

Wash cycle water level

the water needed needs to just come up right under the door this is how much water they use cause they use a tumble wash to clean the clothes
low water preasure is a problem but also make sure both water inlets are being used (hot and cold) even if you dont have hot attach a y hose the machine needs both inlets in use
these machines use very low water usage but they still need a fill up point
