Try putting it in a bowl of uncooked rice after removing the battery and SIM. It may take a couple of days for the moisture to be removed.

Dropped phone in water, turns on. is it locked ?

Immerse it again in a bucket of water, and turn it on; while it is immersed. That is the only way to make it OK.

I have a 2000 gmc sonoma 2.2 n I drove in a high water. Now when I put truck in drive my gauges start acting weird n I lose power what could be the problem

check for water contamination in all the wiring connections that would have been immersed in the water as any water in the connections will be shorting out.

I have a DeVilbiss no. 145 vaporizer humidifier. Can I get a replacement for the electrode that is immersed in the water. It has accumulated a white coating.

The white coating could well be calcium carbonate, which will dissolve in vinegar, and will then be fine.

My skycaddie was immersed in water. Battery shorted. will not recharge. unit dried. Do I just need a new battery?

if the device got wet while the power was on` it most likely shorted out components in the device and you will need a new one. if its worth your time and money you can try purchasing a new battery, but chances are the device still has water inside and is shorting it still. dis assembly and inspection of inside cavity is the only way to guarantee that it really is DRY completely, but is illogical to try to take these devices apart ~ electronics dropped in water have to pretty much be called defective after immersed.
sorry .thats probably the wrong answer. but its 100% truth

Immersed in pond water

When my cellphone was immersed in a pool, i let it dry for hours. Finally, I blew dry it and it came back on. Don't use the warm option, it may toast the lcd screen.

If it is not coming back on, you may want to take it to a repair center.

Water damage

unless you being a rigorous drying procedure with hair drivers and removing the covers, it's pretty certain it's going to be shot (especially if it was still receiving 120 volts of power at the time of the flood) . It doesn't really matter what kind of water it is white (clean), gray (sink) or black (toilet).

the longer that it sits wet, the quicker the internal components will begin to corrode. Items that are "Immersed In Water" typically do not revive after drying. They could be revived if someone was to re-build the units for you, but usually are not worth it when you consider the costs involved.

If it's an older collectible piece, it might be worth it.

My Garmin forerunner 305 recently got immersed in

I have read in some other posts about the unit only working while being plugged into a USB port. My guess is that the battery is in fact shot and the unit will only run off the USB port while plugged in. Submersing in water is not a good idea. On the back of the unit there are some small holes for the speaker. These speakers corrode from sweat and eventually quit.

Z20fd got wet in my daughter's purse

If an electronic device gets wet or is submerged, DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON! In most instances, this short circuits/damages the device. If you let the device dry for 3 to 10 days, it may clear of moisture, and work without short circuiting. If the device was immersed in fresh-water, that is.

If it was immersed in salt water, the likelihood of damage and failure is almost guaranteed.

Steaming

Per page 9 of the manual, add water until it reaches the bottom of the basket and do not allow the water to evaporate.
