Error code E88 it's the dice tray sensor this will not be a long solution just try ending it to microsoft if warranty is still valid and/or try "YouTube" and in the adress bar type " open tray problem fix" and follow the steps shown it will require some partsbieng removed I do not recommend this if your warranty is still valid.steph the not so expert guy

I found a solution that works for me after a long period of time with
Get an air spray canister (just compressed air), open your Xbox's game tray, take the disc out, then spray the air along the tray, moving side to side inside the Xbox. You may want to spray into the vents, too, just to be sure.
This worked for me, and it was the only thing that worked for me. I had already tried hitting the console with the controller (gently), and doing the stuff Microsoft recommends etc.
If that doesn't work, you could try gently knocking the top of the Xbox with your conroller, when you put the disc in, as I've heard that works for some people.
Another thing that works for some people is taking the disc out, closing the tray, then when it goes to Open Tray, open the tray, put the disc back in and then closing the tray again.
