Please help!!! I'm trying to transfer my personal home movies to dvd's and can't do it with this monster. They say can't record in progressive scan mode. Problem is the manual and unit doesn't explain how to shut it off. When I push button on unit just doesn't work.

Thanks,

J

Recording is disabled when the progressive scan mode is on. You have to reset the unit first.
Take out any disc or tape. With the unit on, hold down the Rewind and Fast Forward buttons together for 10 secs.
Then turn the unit off and on. It should work fine after that.
