Corrupt data? I was trying to do adjustment under factory defaults volume down and plug in the cord because the picture was so dark. The adjustments caused the tv to stay dark with no backlights now. Is there a master clear back to factory firmware or something like that. Otherwise, the only other solution i see is to replace the main board. Joe

I cant adjust volume using the up and down arrows on my ASPIRE 5334-2581. Whassup??

Hi, If you cannot adjust the volume, it may be software related...one way to make sure is to run a factory default recovery using the empowering software or from start-up press Alt + F10 about every second untill you see "windows is loading files" and run the factory default. If you still have the same issue then it will be a mainboard fault. (of course always back up your data before taking this course of action)
If hardware, then best to contact support assuming it is under warranty. let us know how you get on.

Reset the menus to factory setting or default settings. You can also try this: remove the battery and let it sit for at least 24 hours. This should reset all setting to default. Also you can adjust the settings in the menus to darken the pictures slightly.
You may want to call Canon, they have great support. Ask the support if needed for repairs, and of course make sure to ask how much as well.
