when running Yahoo IM video chat, I can see the other persons video for a few mins but the thier video window shows my cam . It seems to be a problem with the yahoo server

yeah that sounds like yahoo's signals are getting messed up have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling yahoo messenger. try that also try updating your webcam software.
