Question about Neff 24 in. S5543X2 Built-in Dishwasher
Can I use liquid plumer or something like that to clear a clogged drain in my dishwasher? The sink that it is hooked up to doesn't seem to be stopping up, but there is water left at the bottom of my dishwasher after washing. The clog must be between the dishwasher and the pipe it is hooked up to.
I would not recomment putting chemicals in the dishwasher. There is usually some kind of filter in the bottomt at you can easily take out and clean. It's common to have parts of labels and plastic clog this up.
Try removing and cleaning this first. It may also be reached from a separate hatch in the fronc of your dishwasher, depending on the make and model. Just make sure it's securly back in place before you start it afterwards, or you may flood your kitchen.
You may also try to disconnect the hose and blow through it to see if you may be able to blow back any objects stuck there.
If none of this helps your problem may be in the pump, and then it's usually a job for professionals.

This draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.
