Have a look here. and click on the parts list to open a pdf you can read. It's probably part 21 or 22, the dial or the speed control circuit module. Ryobi is always hard to find parts for. They seem to have released different models in different parts of the world, and their search database leaves a bit to be desired...
Here and here are two links to sources I've had some success with.
Good luck.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

You can find a part diagram and parts list on-line. Just enter the model #. The variable speed control module is no longer available. You can bypass the control, and connect the router directly. You will no longer be able to control the speed, or turn off the router. I used a variable 15A control box instead. It will function the same way.
You may want to just replace the router with a new up-to date router, I just purchased a 2 1/2HP Skil router kit tah has a 1/2 chuck, and both a plunger base a flat base, for $100 at a big box store.

The ryobi bc26 starts however when you switch it to the run position it sputters and cuts off. This is the second ryobi bc26 in the last month they both did the same thing. I figured maybe I am missing...

You will probably have to switch back and forth a few times between run and mid position until it runs properly. If this does not do it then you will probably have to clean carburetor.

How easy is it to purchase a collet 1/4" wrench for the Ryobi R163K router 8.5 amp

Ryobi part number 671250001 . This is the wrench the tool came with.

You can order from Ryobi 1-877-545-4099 or go to their website, find the closest service center, and order it through them.

I just purchased and installed a Hampton Bay palm beach 48' ceiling fan (close to ceiling mount)Problem is when turned on I hear an annoying hummmmmmmmmmmm, more of a hum at high speed and it graduates...

You have a rotating dimmer switch on the wall to control speed right? If so, it is the wrong type switch. The missed matched switch will cause the humming. Use a regular on/off switch and control speed with the pull string

Ryobi Scroll Saw runs at maximum speed

Unfortunatly the speed controls cannot be repaired, they can only be replaced. You will have to find a Ryobi dealer in your area and get a new speed controler.

Rf1101 makita router lost serious power and is sounding wounded

You dont have to take the armature out to look at the commutator, just remove the brushes (unplug tool first) and get a flashlight and look into the brush tube and slowly turn the shaft by hand and look for a discoloration or unusual look on the comm bars. The slight burned smell might have come from the speed control or the switch itself, but look at comm and then go from there. You can get a breakdown for this tool at Makitausa.com. Let me know if you need any more help

Ryobi RE600 plunge router binds on the posts

Are you cleaning the area that contains the springs also and if so I would use something like a dry lubricant so that it won't attract more dust and dirt but we both know that eventually it will. Coat the posts with this and allow to dry and then push up and down on the motor to lube the bushings and you might have to do it again. You can also try a small amount of 3 in 1 oil but use sparingly.

Wireless router

I have a friend that works at 2 wire. I've bought a couple of their products. And I'm a computer geek. Unless I miss my guess it shouldn't matter what is plugged into it, be it laptop or desktop. It may be locked down to the MAC address on the NIC, but I doubt it. Anyway you'd just browse to it's embedded webpage and change the setting. The IP address is the same as the gateway address on the laptop plugged into it.

I think I bought that model for my dad but I can't remember the exact model number on it. Anyway the one I bought, and set up for my Dad, I had several different computers hooked up to it and never had a problem.
