Question about Samsung ML1740 Laser Printer

Not printing it's not printing the test page and the on-line/error light is blinking.

Hello?
I have a ML1740
I am using Adobe Acrobat 5.0
I am using Microsoft Vista
My printer is not printing anything
I replaced my current ML1740 with another (same brand) ML1740, attached it to my desktop and also my laptop computers, still no printing
I need your help
Please Help me!

Sometimes that just happens randomly and starts working the next day. if it doesnt work one or two days later, fumble with the printer settings a little.

SOURCE: hp 3325 printer printing test page and not printing other pages

Hi there,

  • Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
  • Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
  • restart the computer
  • try to download drivers from the website
  • after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
  • then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

double pressing the continue button twice , the printer will give a secondary error code: then check here (link below) : toner is low, with blinking lights = Replacing the Imaging Drum

SOURCE: test page prints out great but I cannot print out

Hello, Please take the cartdriges out, shake them a bit, and put them back in. If this doesn't help, replace the cartdriges (and if this doesn't work either replace the printer to buy a better one :) )

SOURCE: not printing

Please open the manual feed and try to print using manual feed if you are able to print fine using manual feed that check pickup roller of Tray 2.
First of try to print using Manual feed and let me know if it is printing from Manual feed or not.

you need to flash the bios to a newer version - go to www.hp.com and type in your model number and then locate the latest flash - re-flashing this to the latest flash will fix your problem - also upgrade the drivers on your PC as well

I have Windows 7, I have a 5p (was just given) and the test page will not print. The green light at the bottom is continuously blinking. Suggestions?


bottom light blinking means it is receiving data try to unhook cable power cycle and try test print with data cable unhooked if you wait should error out if does not print

I have an hp 3150 all in one printer. Every time I turn it on to print a document it prints a test page. I am out of color ink so it doesn't print the additional numbers and lines to align the printer. I...


I know your problem and i want to know that have you changed or refill your cartridge?.

if yes
place one plain paper in the tray.
it will print the test paper
print it and place it on the scanner with the printed side down.
press the scan button from the printer
printer will blink the light for some time and stop blinking
now it didn't print test print every time you print

The ink system has failed and can not longer print


Note: one line descriptions are difficult to troubleshoot.

Please get back to us with the following information

* What is the exact error message?
* Where exactly you are receiving this error message?
* Does the same issue persists even after replacing the cartridge?
* Any lights are blinking on the unit?
* Does the unit print a self test page? Steps are given below:
  1. Load the input tray with unused plain white paper.
  2. Press and hold the Cancel (c00636162.gif ) button and then press the Start Copy Color (c00636190.gif ) button.
  3. Release both buttons. The self-test page prints.

To check the light Pattern of your printer

Click on Light and Error HP Laser jet 1012 Printer

Check the error details from the above link

Condition of the printer Action/Description Ready

The printer is ready to print. No action is necessary. Processing

The printer is receiving or processing data. Wait for the job to print. Processing...(job name) Ready LED is blinking.

This message is displayed while the printer is processing a current job, but has not begun to pick pages. Processing...(job name) From Tray XX Ready LED is blinking.

This message comes up for any job, once the printer starts to pick paper. Manual Feed or Continuable Error

The printer is attempting to Manual feed, media is not loaded in the paper tray, media loaded is the wrong size or type. Verify that the correct media is loaded.

Press and release the GO button to continue printing. Out of memory

The printer is out of memory. The page you are printing might be too complex for the printers memory capacity. Try lowering the resolution. See Understanding print quality settings for more information. Door open, media out, no print cartridge, or media jam

The printer is in an error state that requires operator intervention or help. Check the following:
  • The print cartridge door is completely closed.
  • Media is loaded.
  • The print cartridge is correctly installed in the printer.
  • There is no media jam.
Printer initialization

A printer initialization is taking place. No action is necessary. Fatal error

All lights are on.
  • Unplug the printer for 30 minutes, and then plug it back in.
  • If the printer still has an error, contact HP Support.
All lights are off.
  • Verify that the printer is turned on.
  • Make sure that there is power.
  • Unplug both ends of the power cord, and plug them back in.
Job Cancel

All the LEDs cycle. Canceling...(job name)

The Job Cancel button was pressed and the job is aborted. Power ON

Canon ip90 4 blinks error


4 blinks is a purge unit error, that's the device that the printhead parks on on the right. Could be just a paper scrap inside, or the gears are worn out. The replacement includes the entire print engine and costs more than a new printer to replace.

1.Please check whether drivers are installed.
2.check whether printer is printing the test page.If not issue with printer.
3.If printing the test page then please reinstall the printer and then check.

Test Page


thats not the test page that is allignment page which is printing.
keep the the printed side of that page which comes out on the scanner glass.press the ---scan ---button.the on /off light will blink, wait till it stops blinking.and after that everything will be normal.
