Question about Gateway 8510GZ Notebook
I have a Gateway 8510gz laptop that I had to reload Windows XP from scratch. Now the Wireless hardware does not show up in Device Manager. Everything else is working. I have connection to the internet via ethernet, but cannot use wireless??? What gives?
After installing the driver and you don't see the Wireless LAN in the Device Manager. this means that either the wrong driver was installed or the wireless adapter is faulty and was not detected.
Download a fresh wireless driver from the Gateway WEB site, make sure you select your model laptop and the Windows XP or Vista version of the driver that matches the version of Windows that is installed on your laptop.
