Question about Pantech Slate Cell Phone
It sounds like it may be a soiled SIM card or a bad connection with the phone connectors. Take a pencil eraser and lightly rub the back of the SIM card and the connector pins and then try to reconnect.
If that doesn't work, you may need to try another SIM card; you should be able to pick those up at your carrier store. You might try a friend's SIM card to be sure.
