SOURCE: Where is the filter on a Kenmore Quiet Guard 2 dishwasher?

I have a Quiet Guard 4. Same problem so will describe my solution.
1. Remove bottom basket. Remove top basket.
2. Remove bottom washing arm. Unscrew (Gently but firmly) the centre post. Lift arm assembly up and out.
3. Remove overhead conduit. One screw at back, one at top (Philips #2 bit). Rotate whole assembly 45 deg right (Clockwise) and lift off of centre post.
4. Remove centre post (Pull straight up). Remove 4 screws (Star T-20 bit). Lift whole assembly out. Pop off screen and clean.
5. Remove cap over cutter/chopper. There is a single screw at front left (under assembly removed in 4). Remove screw (Star T-15 bit) and cap (Needs some wiggling to free it up). Remove cutter and filter. It is on a spring loaded pin. Pull the cutter blade foreward and then the filter disc straight up. Clean thoroughly as it may be the cause of your problems.
Reassimble. Good luck!

SOURCE: dishwasher not cleaning - want to clean drain

We have a Kenmore 665.17702k600 Portable dishwasher with a similar problem. What we did was pop off the drain cover (turns out the one screw wasn't doing anything and just pushed down into the unit when screwdriver was applied). We popped it off by shimmying a screwdriver under the panel, and applying torque on the long end. It just popped right off. Then there was this nasty stale water, and not much obvious debri. We used a wet vac to slurp all that up. So that's the solution we took -- haven't tried it yet, so not sure if it will actually fix the problem...

I have a Miele g7856 and I just replaced the drain hose now I get a F2E code ?

The F 2E code indicates insufficient water coming into the dishwasher. Thus you should check that the shut-off valves for the incoming water lines are open. Make sure that the incoming water pressure hasn't decreased and that the water lines aren't kinked or blocked. You should also check the water inlet filters (at the screw connection of the hose) and the flow restrictor insert in the waterproof system.

Since the dishwasher was working before the drain hose was replaced, closed shut-off valves and kinked hoses are particularly likely. You may also want to replace the inlet hoses themselves. (Some anti-burst hoses will restrict the water flow if they detect a leak.)

I hope this helps.

Top Rack not cleaning

Hi,

Your concern "Top Rack not cleaning" often would indicate that the unit is not receiving sufficient water and the basin does not reach full level. Based on this, it may be required to check:
  • incoming water pressure;
  • water inlet valve;
  • incoming filter (if one is installed);
  • other areas to check are: heater (125 to 140 degress reached?, does the pump work? visually inspect the spray arm for any cracks, splits or possible leaks;
  • you may also want to verify that: the dishes are loaded properly and/or try a different detergent.
Additional insights may be sourced from here.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Does this dishwasher Kenmore 13543 raise the water temp so the soap cleans correctly? We have hard water and even the best soap leaves a white film even adding rinse aide in my old BROKEN machine.

there is not much you can do with hard water as it is the minerals in the water that cause the problem
it is cheaper to let the washer heat the water as it only heats what it wants
Hard water comes from bores as most town water is put through osmosis filters that remove the minerals and produce the soft water
If you have a bore supply the seriously consider fitting a osmosis filter before the house as it will fix all sorts of problems found in the shower, hot water system , septic/sewerage and general health of the people in the house.
The initial cost will be outweighed by the cost savings from detergents and heating

Light flashes 7 times then pauses and blinks 7 times again, and keeps repeating

Temperature problem with water. Incoming water when filled should be no less then 1/2 inch below heater. If not, possible water valve. Incoming water temp. min after fill. 120 degrees. Missaligned door. One of door switches not activating. Bad circulation motor. Not throwing water over heater. Tech.sheet behind bottom panel. Will tell you. Shorted heater. When bottom panel is removed. Look for signs of water leaks. Hard water deposits on floor.

Kenmore Model 16798 dishwasher: no incoming water throughout entire cycle

Hello there
The solenoid is just a valve. Only it operates electrically.

Check to be sure you are getting water to the valve. Turn off water,
disconnect water supply from solenoid valve, place line in bucket, turn on
water slowly.

Does water come out?

If yes, then reconnect water and check other side of valve. Disconnect
connection on other side of solenoid valve. Does water come out when you
cycle dishwasher?

Could be a problem with plugged water tubes. All sorts of junk comes out of
water lines.

Also if you have a manual valve on the wall for line going to dishwasher,
the line could be plugged at this valve. Turning it off/on several times or
backflushing might clear the plug.

My dishwasher won't fill with water

There can only be these reasons:
1 Water valve shut off
2 Door not locked in
3 water relay/solenoid valve broke or inoperable
4 Plastic lines kinked for supply
5 Filter for water clogged.
I'm thinking number 3 or number 5 Hope this at least gives you some things to look at.

Water doesn't come out of spray bar. water fills dishwasher (and can drain), it also gets heated. But the spray bars won't spray any water (top or bottom). Any ideas?

There is a pump that sends the water to the spray bars. I believe it is broken. Perhaps there is a jam but I don't think it is possible because the water is filtered before going to the pump.

Anyway. The pump may need to be replaced (not the drain pump).

Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher

check and see if you are getting ac 110 volts to your water vave when trying to start the unit. if no power check your breakers and /or the incoming power to your dishwasher if they are ok and show 110 voltage coming to the unit then you probably have a control board or touchpad problem which would need a little more detailed check out.
If you do have ac 110 to your water valve then you may just have a bad water valve. Because the washer has to fill first. Hope that helps!!

Frigidaire D/W. Model fd8750rcc0

hi Dishwashers usually run on 115-volt or 120-volt power. The water they use comes directly from the water heater, and wastewater is drained into the sink's drainpipe. The dishwasher is not connected to the cold-water supply. For best dishwashing results, set the temperature control of the water heater to no less than 140 degrees Farenheit. Water cooler than this usually doesn't get the dishes clean, unless your dishwasher is a newer model that preheats incoming water. The water shutoff for the dishwasher is typically located below the adjoining sink.
