No sound.. I have new Hannspree 20" HF207 Widescreen Moniter. I tried hooking up the sound to the moniter. After a while I switched it back to my computer, Now the sound won't play at all. Help?

you need to plug a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack audio lead between the pc and monitor to get sound, the reason it doesnt come with a sound driver is because you dont need one for the monitor

If you have a cable box or something that outputs HDMI, you could. But this monitor has no TV tuner on its own.

no, no special driver. it sounds like a bad audio output ic to me or the 1/8th inch conn. from your pc is not in the green hole on either unit

scle193, What happened that you needed to replace electrolytic capacitors? Why ??? Still no sign of power??? Did you pay attention to polarity when replacing the capacitors? Did you document you work with a digital camara to make sure that you could put it back together without having any leftover parts or unconnected cables. Have you measured the dc voltages at the output of the SMPS? Have you checked any and /or all onboard mounted FUSES?? What was the original complaint you had with this monitor? Have you tried to get a service manual or schematic from Philips? Get back to me with info

ok sounds like you have a broken pin on your cable if you look in the end of the cable plug the part thet goes into the box but also check both ends if they are there
failing that take monitor to roof and heave ho away it goes

I don't know if I caused the problem or not. I hooked up my new Hannspree HF237 monitor to my HP pc, and the sound wasn't loud enough so I hooked up my external speakers, and got nothing. So I disabled one without the other, and still got nothing. Now I can't even get the monitor's sound to come back on. Any ideas?

Try other outlet, check the power cord if it contacted the monitor. If nothing happened, maybe it's factory defect, since it still under warranty, you can still change it.
