Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone
The centre scroll button 'click' function is glitching. Unless I push hard continuously it doesn't work. This happend with a past 8310 which I exchanged, and I have the same problem with this now. Reseting the phone doesn't help. Is it manufacturing defect once again?
As you use the trackball on your Blackberry, dirt and oils on your fingers get into the trackball assembly.
You might get some 'traction' on your track ball if you lightly dip a cotton swab in some rubbing alcohol. Swab the trackball, then do a quarter turn, continue until you cover the whole trackball in each direction.
If you get no improvement, then its another defective trackball, and you'll have to return it where you got it; most companies warranty phones 90 days from the date it was replaced.
