Iakjanila, remove the toner cartridge slowly. 2. Tilt the cartridge back and forth to ensure even distribution. Do this slowly. 3. insert it again in the printer, close the compartment cover and now test print. GL
frist keep your cartredge out after that beat top slowly slowly and then insert in your printer anter that restart your printer if problem is not solved then reinstalled your drivers of printer. after that problem is now here till then see your ink ribbon is on goog condition and the cartredge have ink and then restart the computer
Your printer may have recieved a spike from the same lightning and fried the circuit board.

If so call Epson and get an exchange unit.

Are you using Windows?
If so clean out your temporary files and defrag the drive.
Printers in Windows spool the job to a temporary file and then retrieves it.If the temp folder is full or the drive is fragmented this will cause your issue.
If its spots this could have been from the cartridge or the fusser unit... Do a half print test...send a print page to your printer listen to the printer print as soon as you think the printer has printed some little bit switch off the printer...take the cartridge and view the printed portion can you see the spots..if not.....than its your fusser unit thats marking the paper....remove the half printed paper slowly.....not to tear it......remover the fusser unit(hot unit)........at the back of the printer....towards the top....on the unit it self you will see a Teflon paper ....move the gear on the far end of the fusser unit itself and view if there is any spots....try cleaning this spots slowly as not to damage the Teflon or mark the Teflon.....
