Question about Frigidaire FRT18KG3CW Top Freezer Refrigerator
I'm having alot of frost in the top freezer, which I'm thinking makes the bottom not to get as cold I see NO red glow in the vent, which now have ice covering them., I'm thinking the defrost heater is not working. Can this heater be replaced, and is this something I can fix, by taking the panel off from inside the freezer also how much would this part cost
The heater can be replaced $30-$40 appliance parts store. Make sure that's the part you need most places won't return electrical parts. Could be a defrost terminator also.

Tips for a great answer:
Good Morning friend, thanks for your inquiry!
From the information you have provided the freezer on your Frigidaire refrigerator is working and the bottom portion is not. This sounds like a potential issue with your damper or defrost timer. You should check the damper and that is located on the rear upper wall. If the damper is not working properly it could be due to frost build-up or food blockage. I would recommend checking the freezer to make sure there is no frost build-up or food blocking the damper on the rear wall. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt
