SOURCE: i bought a dell inspiron

Install the bluetooth drive ,you will got the error message that you havn't switch on the adaptor ofcourse the radio buttons are in on position. Click the cancel button. Be sure the radio buttons are in on state. Now you go for "C:\Dell\drivers\R140135\3100_216\" there you can see a sheld icon with the name "inst" in the further folders(search the folders for inst sheld icon), double click and run the software installation and finish the installation. Now restart the system and now you can notice a bluetooth icon in inactive stage in the notification area , right click on it and turn on the bluetooth adaptor on. Now the bluetooth device was ready to use, the problem is solved.

SOURCE: Driver for Dell BT Travel Mouse

If it is a dell mouse, it should automatically work after a few things. Simply locate the button on your mouse to power it on, open your bluetooth settings on your computer and scan. It will then add the drivers as a HID (human interface device). If that fails go to dell.com, search for drivers & downloads under support and search for the drivers & documentation.

SOURCE: Where is the bluetooth Module/Adapter located at

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Flip it over.
Remove the battery.
Look at the various "covers" that are screwed shut.
Use a small screwdriver to open one of those "bays".
The BlueTooth adapter may become visible.
Or, if you open the "wrong" one, you'll see your computer's RAM memory.

SOURCE: Bluetooth not working

Make sure it is enabled on the laptop and on the os. If windows it will be in the control panel. and on the hardware it will likely be a function key

Bluetooth won't connect

blue toith where inside PC, or added to PC using BT to USB gongle, device.??? (yup 2 ways and can be the fix , see?)

bluetooth is trick tech. (it even learns devices , by self)
so what pc (one of 10,000 laptops)
what OS. (operating systems matter big time)
what device, (piles)

so is this XP OS? the dead OS? and virus magnet?
btw1: Vista ended this year.
what PC, it has HP model , like DV5-12345us.
on the service tag of every HP made.

we cant have any ideas ever lacking key facts like that.
impossible. but. but but.... in the generic.

but can say , the bluetooth driver is missing or wrong
no internet connection, gee now can BT work>lacking that
if XP or VISTA gee, MS shut down PnP for those.

support happens like this.
if the PC BT module is ok and the OS driver workes (DM)
the BT chip in pc connects to the device, (chip to chip ) easy
of the OS driver works the PC OS can now comm to the chip
next... (its chain of events serial)
then The OS does PnP plug and play to find a match for your random BT device (oops XP is dead)
try to know each DEVICE is not the same.
a BT , headphone, speaker., mouse/.or keyboards are not the same.
nor vast other things, different (endless list)
even MS tells you w7 UP, most headphones are not supported by MS. at all (pnP) need a link to MS on that, have it.

that means you need to get the driver from the maker.
with W7 OS.
it can find many drivers easy with PNP working

got internet? on this box LT.

Holding down the Func key while powering up, Num lock and Scroll lock flash, caps lock on steady. No Post. Help

If your laptop won't run the diagnostics ( Holding down the Func key while powering up ) then you need to try and isolate the problem. Something is preventing the laptop from performing POST ( power-on self diagnostics ). Try removing the hard disk drive, memory modules, external USB devices.

My m6300 power light blinks 4 orange then 1 green, very quickly. it also hangs on boot.

Start taking your laptop apart piece by piece and test it after each removed component:
1. Remove the hard drive and test the laptop.
2. Remove the DVD drive and test the laptop.
3. Remove the wireless card and test the laptop.
4. Unplug the display panel from the motherboard/video card and test the laptop.
etc....
Continue taking it apart until you have only three major components connected: motherboard (with video card), processor, and memory. If you still experience the same problem, most likely it's bad motherboard.
By the way, before you start, try reconnecting the memory module. If you have two modules installed, try removing them one by one and test the laptop with each one separately.

My M6300 won't even power up, plugged in or not?

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

When i press fn+f2 in my dell d530 wifi light will go on but not bluetooth light. assist me to activate my blueooth.

Hi, Make sure your Bluetooth module is actually installed, if this is a newly acquired laptop. If you have been using BT with it previously, check your driver/bluetooth software to be assured it is active and current. This is true with XP and Vista. Drivers are not always up to date on these older computers, if you have updated to Windows 7.

Also, take the battery out and check the Bluetooth module connections, making sure the antenna is properly plugged into the module. Let us know if you still have the same problem.

Thanks, Bill
