Question about Oregon Scientific Lwb0997110113004 Thermometer, Tht312/Blrw Clock Radio

I cannot open the remote sensor for my Oregon Scientific PSM06AR.

I have a new Oregon Scientific PSM06AR atomic clock/weather station. How do I get my remote sensor unit open to insert the 2 AAA batteries? I can't find the way to get it to open up. I don't want to mess it up.

Also--the main unit has been on for one full 24-hour period and it hasn't set the atomic time yet. Perhaps it is waiting on me to connect the remote sensor?

I believe the back of the sensor slides open. There may be a faint arrow on the back that indicates the direction in which you push.

My unit took well over 24 hrs to reset. I think it has to do with the position of the satellite in relation to where you live.

Unable to cancel min. wind chill reading wnen current display reads NA; thus 5C still shows from a day in April!

There is a reset button on each sensor unit and there is a reset on the base display. The NA means that the signal is not being sensed from the remote. If you use the reset button on the base you will lose all the historical data. The problem may be related to strong interference from something else nearby, You can bring the sensor inside to see if the base picks it up. IF it does not it may need to be replaced. I have dealt with Oregon Scientific before and they are very good with their support. http://www.oregonscientificstore.com/WMR86A-Oregon-Scientific-Backyard-Pro-Wireless-Weather-Station.product

Sensot does not work on outside temperature

You need to pull the batteries out on the sensor, reset the main unit and then have it check for sensors again. If it does not find any, replace the sensor.

ONLY SHOWS INDOOR TEMPERATURE DOES NOT SHOW OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE

I have a similar device and the instructions say to remove batteries from both units and wait for 10 minutes without pressing any buttons before installing batteries first in the remote unit then the indoor unit. The outdoor and indoor units have to "talk" to each other before getting in the mood to display temperatures.

Model RAR188A Tried to change battery on remote sensor. Still doesn't work. I think I have to reset it but can't remember how.

Both the remote and base units have a very small hole near the battery spot, less than 1/8" in diameter. Push something smaller than the hole into it, like the end of an unbent paper clip. The base unit, at least, will give a tiny beep and it will have reset. The remote may not beep, but also will be reset.

My oregon scientific indoor outdoor weather station with atomic clock just stopped picking up the outdoor readings, it won't switch to that channel any longer. tried removing and reinstalling the battery,...

I had the same problem, Since the outside temp wouldn't read, I figured it was the outside unit batteries. Went through half a dozen AAA batteries and wouldn't read. It was the indoor unit. Had the same bats I installed 3 years ago. DUH! Replaced the AAA, and all was well. When the inside batteries die out, it has just enough juice to read indoor temp, but not enought to sense exterior signal.
