In an Internet context (the technology), CGI stands for Common Gateway Interface, a standard methodology that aids in the creation of web page content. In movie terms (since movies are often viewed on computer monitors), it stands for Computer Generated Imagery. Not sure what you were looking for, but hopefully it was one of those two. I'm certain there are more, since we live in a world overrun by acronyms. TGIF!
