Unsupported format means the current audio or video codec does not meet the requirements of the downloaded file. What you need is to take note of the extension name of the file and try to google the extension name by which codec it supports.
example of extension name "FILE.bak"
The ".bak" is the extension name nad need to google it to which video or audio playback it supports
Some things on the internet just cant be converted into a format to fit your phone. Especially Samsungs. They just dont seem to be compatable with anything. I had a driod samsung and all the apps i wanted said not compatable with my phone. I ended up taking it back
Installation procedureFirst of all you need to have Samsung PC Studio installed on your computer. To download it, go to Samsung Download Center and choose the model name of your mobile.Installation using Samsung PC Studio:
Connect phone to PC
Run Samsung PC Studio if not running
Open file manager (Click "Manage Files")
Copy .jad and .jar to "Other Files" folder on phone. (You can download these files from our website)
Disconnect phone and go to "Other Files", run .jad file to install and run the application.
If a message "Unsupported file format" appears, then it means that installing applications from PC is blocked in your mobile. In that case the simplest solution is to install per WAP. There are also ways to bypass this limitation and unblock the mobile. Try to search Google for eg. "C3300 Champ install jar" (witnout quotation marks) or "Samsung GT-C3300 Champ Unsupported file format"
1. U have a firmware that has locked java install, it's not that the apps are not susported it's just locked. The solution is easy, but needed a little of work first u need an java app like Bluetooth File Transfer or MiniCommander(i recommend it).
Download it from net host it on a wap server and download it from the wap. after u will install it run the app if u have the jar file create a jad from MiniCommander File->create jad or use Jadmaker then copy the files to your filesystem folder go to admin menu *#6984125*#>Internals>*#9072641*#>Storage settings>Update Java DB and its done it's installed without installing new firmware ;)
some phones require a certain media file for example .mp3 is the most popular. but your phone may only support wma so find out what kind of file your phone supports and then find a media converter to convert your file
No, usually Samsung phones doesn't allow to install java through PC.
You need to install it through Mobile Net (WAP)
And for samsung phone's java apps i always prefer http://www.wap.getjar.com
First select your Phone, then the type of app, and the most important thing is to check that specific app/game.. to be 100% tested under that phone
There will be a small tag with that app's discription, only try those with 100% Tested.

You phone will only support certain file formats. Go to Samsung and get the manual Click Here The owners manual will tell you what music files, video files, picture files are supported by the software. Then you may have to convert your files to work in your phone. Let me know if this helped by rating the post...Thanks
