its possible to do it, but better to try changing the channel on the computer and check the environment, make sure no wireless phone running 2.4 Ghz in the network or between the connection of the router and the laptop.better to move that away from the connection or not even to use it when working wirelessly.
Weak signal problem can be fixed by firmware update however, if the client computer is too far from the router, it can't be helped. What you need is a wireless range expander. What it does is give you another 100% signal or atleast stronger signal to the spot or area where you have a weak or dead signal.

hi iv got a sitecom wl-143 wireless router and a phillips snb5600, both of which support wds, i have given both the routers te same ssid and they are on the same channel, they also have the same wpa2 key, one is a dhcp server the other should therefore pick up a ip for all computers connected to it. i have also added the mac addresses to each of the routers for the wds. how ever they will not connect. my computer connected to the second router (sitecom wl-143) sees the router as a gateway but it doesnt connect or give out ip addresses. any ideas?
