My pinseeker comes up E31. can this be fixed?

All these units need an alignment....Vibration and dropping are slow death to Pinseekers.

The "Pinseeker" mode is a automatic mode Sometimes it uses it, somtimes it doesn't. It is designed to recognize a vertical shaft. (Pin) Now IF you hold the power button down....you can see if all of the LCD segments are burning. If the segments fade out later in the game.... (bad LCD) Make sure the Pinseeker mode it on...(flag symbol on the left) Hit the button on the side if you need to. IF it still doesn't lock on to pins, it needs an alignment.

If it is 2 years or less from the date of purchase.....send a copy of the POP (proof of purchase) or call them......! It should be under warranty. This is the real deal!!!
rate if you can!!

SOURCE: E31 error message on screen of pinseeker 1500
E31 is a programming error code. Most of the time this comes from using non-alkaline batteries or from letting a battery die in the unit. "lob" means low battery condition. In these rangefinders "lob" will show up with a new non-alkaline battery installed. Non-alkaline batteries just don't generate enough current for the laser to operate properly. Reprogramming costs about 20 bucks, if it needs an alignment (won't hit a flag or target at 200+ yards >50 bucks<) Oily looking spots in the display are from not using the eyepiece cap and direct sunlight damages the LCD. (15bucks) The address for repair is:
Bushnell Repair Center
8500 Marshall Drive
Lenexa, KS 66214
800.423.3537
Send a problem statement, your phone number, and $10 for return shipping.
Good Luck to you!!!!!
