Amazon.com, Inc.Amazon.com: LAPTOP CHARGER FOR ACER ASPIRE 3600 3680 SERIES 3650 ...When I was looking for a charger cable for my laptop, i was not sure whether I ... it was really good and worked, it heats up a little bit but for now its working ...
Take out the battery then press and hold power button for about 30 seconds, then put battery back in again and try to turn on. Might as well leave it without the battery for some time after holding the power button. If that doesn't help try removing RAM and turning it on without it. By the way.. any beeps?
You are going to need a paper clip. Look fo a small hole next to the switch. straighten the paper clip and put it in the hole in the center. carefully push to activate the mechansium to open the door. Then you can troubleshoot the door. Turn off the computer then pull the power cord from it. Open the computer case find the power cable to the cdrom/dvdcdrw and push it in to make sure you have good connection. If it still doesn't work after this then you can get a new drive for less than $30.00 (usd)
That is probably because some important boot files are missing. What you can try is to take out the hard drive and move it to another acer aspire 5315 computer. To take out the hard drive, remove ALL electrical components (power cable, battery, etc.), open the computer's hard drive bay, and take it out VERY carefully. Make sure you do not cut the cables. That could damage the hard drive. Then, you remove the hard drive on the other acer aspire 5315 computer using the same instructions above. Then, you can identify the missing boot files (they will be in a hidden drive called System Reserved), copy them onto your computer's hidden System Reserved drive (if it's missing you'll have to create one manually), and put it back in the other acer aspire 5315 computer. Make sure that you put the wires where they were when you removed them, otherwise the hard drive might not work. Then, try turning on the computer again.
Is the hard drive physically present? If so, perhaps it has failed on you and it's time to replace the HD and restore a backup image or using whatever backup solution you had. Of course it's possible the connectors came loose, but it's unlikely. I notice you put a laptop problem in the Acer PC Desktop category; you fail to correctly present your question, but I'm sure you have improvements in the works.
I had to buy an new ac/dc plug piece off of ebay (cost only like $3 bucks) to sodder onto the mother board of my Acer. Somehow the little plastic/metal piece you plug into your computer comes off the mother board really easy. Acer wanted me to purchase a whole new mother board (at frigging $350), which, frankly wasn't an option. So I bought the little plug gizmo, soddered it on, and I'm doing good now.
