I don'tsee what i just purchased. 2 ganes I alredy have won"t run now. on occasioun it tells me i have no connection-not possible Please help me

it is possible, just because you are connected wirelessly, doesn't mean that you are connected to the internet, you ARE ONLY CONNECTED TO YOUR MODEM,unplug your modem from the internet and power for 30 seconds then plug in the internet wire then power and let it reboot, then see how the connection is.if you have more things connected to the modem, either wirelessly(like laptop) or wired(like xbox or tv),they will use your bandwidth which will cause connection errors on a tablet

There is no internet connection to the laptop. The arris modem gives internet acess to the PC computer, though. The manual for the Airlink 101 router says to connect the router and MODEM to each other by a...

What you're missing is that ALL the PCs will be connecting THROUGH the router to the Modem. Unplug the PC network Cable from the modem, then plug a network cable from the router's INTERNET port into the modem (where you removed the PC's network cable). Now, plug the PC's network cable into one of the ports on the router (usually 4 or more, marked 1,2,3,4. Think of a Router as a "splitter". It connects to the Modem, then several devices connect to the Router, some of them by wire and some by Wi-Fi. So your desktop PC is connected by wire to the router and your laptop PC is probably connected by Wi-Fi (wire is an option, as well). The Router sorts out all those signals and communicates with the Modem. Sound reasonable?

Had to unplug the router and now that it is hooked back up the internet light is flashing red along with the modem light

unplug both the router and the Internet modem at the same time and leave off for 30 seconds.

Then, plug both back in and see if it reboots the system.

Try to connect with your wifi laptop or wifi adapter desktop.

My laptop wont connect to the internet...it connects to the router but then wont connect to the internet and its not the router or modem wont connect to a wired connection either

I would hook your laptop up directly to your broadband modem and bypass your router to rule it out. Plug the network cable from your modem into your laptop. Unplug the power on your broadband modem and plug it back in. Restart your laptop and see if you get on-line.

If you can...your router is the issue. If you cannot....I would check with your internet service provider before troubleshooting further.

if wireless wont work, do wired internet connection. buy a UTP wire with RJ-45 attach to it. plug end of rj-45 to your modem and the other end to the laptop. and setup the internet connection.

I cannot access my wireless network. Router= WBR-2310 D-Link

The first thing to try is a power cylcle. Switch the router off for 2 minutes and then back on again. See whether the connection comes back up.

If this doesn't work, you will need to connect to the router with an ethernet cable and browse to its management interface through internet explorer to see what is going on.

To do this you will need to know the IP address of the router & the username / password to login..

you can get the IP address by using the following steps.

1. go to Start -> Run type cmd and go ok.
2. at the flashing prompt type ipconfig /all
3. You will get a bunch of information. You are looking for the set of numbers next to "default gateway"

Type this number in to internet explorer. eg. http://192.168.1.1

This will get you to the management interface of your router where you will be prompted for your username / password.

Wanting wireless hookup

1)Prepare your modem. Unplug the modem's power cord and place the wireless router unit next to the modem. If the router has antennas, make sure they are raised to their full upright position.
2)Reassign your networking cable. Unplug the cable currently connected from your computer to your modem and plug it into the port located in the wireless router. This port is usually colored blue.
3)Connect the router and the modem. Use the networking cable that came with your wireless router to connect the modem and router unit. The router port is typically colored in green.
4)Start up your modem. Plug in the modem's power cord and wait 1-2 minutes while it configures its settings and prepares to connect to the Internet.5
5)Start up the wireless router. Plug the wireless router's power cord into an outlet and wait 1-2 minutes to get it started. The router is ready when the 'wired computers' and 'modem' icons light up. These logos or icons vary by make and model of your router so consult the owner's manual if needed.6
6)Insert your installation CD. Use the wizard or assistant to check the configurations of your computer settings and launch your wirelessnetwork clip_image001.gif
Things You’ll Need:
  • Wireless Router unit
  • Networking cable (comes with router unit)
  • Installation CD
  • Modem
  • Modem power cord

Please help...internet won't connect

You may be running into a problem of your ISP only allowing one computer on the internet. while the internet is on can you access the internet from the desktop comcast originally setup?  If so that is more then likely your problem.

I have comcast myself and they told me they do not allow home networks. I fixed that problem by using the mac address cloning feature in my router.

The setup cd is also junk, all you should really need to do is:
1. unplug modem, router, and turn off computers
2. Plug modem into router
3. Plug computers into router (don't worry about wireless right now)
4. Turn on modem, wait 20 seconds or so for lights to set,
5. Turn on router. again wait for lights to set
6. Turn on ONE computer that is hard wired into the router
7 Try to surf the net.
8. If successfull try to connect wireless computers (Without using cd) and see if they surf.

If not call comcast and see if your computers are trying to obtain real-world ip's instead of LAN ip's like they should.
If so, you'll need to enable DHCP on the router.
