The light wouldn't come on my ventahood. I thought the bulb was out and I replaced it. Then I needed to use the fan and it wouldn't come on either. Breakers are not blown. Could both switches have gone bad at the same time?????

Check the voltage going to and from the switches and that will tell you.If voltage goes in, but not out the switch is bad.

Look at the instruction/installation manual.
Are the bulbs 12volts or 120vac? If it is 12v there is a transformer that might be shorting to ground. If no transformer, the control panel or the control board has a short.

Ventahood b200msc

That would depend on what country you are in. If it is not the USA then it is most likely the voltage is 220. The products are listed here: http://ventahood.com/specifications.jsp IT appears that you dont have the right model number.

Kenmore micro model 721

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week or so.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly affect the fan operation or inside light, too.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Thought the bulb was bad, replaced and still no light.

where did you get the lamp from? if you got it from a reputable dealer, then i'd say the ballast is bad and needs replacing. if you got it from "bob's bulbs", then it may be the lamp. but the only way to test it is to put it in a known good projector.

Broan Allure QS2 Range Hood

Had same problem & fuse fixed it.
Before buying a new control board (approx $160), check the 3 amp fuse located on the inside of the vent on the control board. You have to take the light/bottom housing & black plastic air chute off to see control board/fuse.

Light doesn't work on Kenmore Model 55022 Range hood...

If you have 120VAC on the center contact of the light socket, and a working fan, but the bulb won't light...the most likely cause would be a disconnected neutral wire (white) in the light wiring inside the hood....assuming everything else is wired correctly.

If you're comfortable with further electrical testing...let me know, and I can describe a detailed procedure to check the status of the neutral wire. Otherwise, you may need the assistance of someone familiar with electrical troubleshooting or appliance repair.
