DESCRIPTION Many newer HP monitors have a feature that allows users to disable the front panel Menu and Power buttons. When they are disabled, pressing them has no effect other than to display on-screen warning messages.
DETAILS If the Power button is disabled; pressing it displays this message:
Power Button Lockout
If the Menu button disabled, pressing it displays this message:
The buttons can be re-enabled as follows:
If the Power button is disabled, press and hold it for 10 seconds to unlock it.
If the Menu button is disabled, press and hold it for 10 seconds to unlock it.
NOTE If the Power or Menu buttons are not disabled, pressing and holding them for 10 seconds will disabled them. Here's the site.....
