I have a White super lock 534 Serger that I just Inherited. I cleaned it up and pluged it in I found out it's not getting any power to either the motor or the lightbulb . Do you have any ideas ?

Make sure that it is plugged in completely. Otherwise, the foot control/power cord may be faulty.

P.S.--hope you were able to oil it also. Tri-Flow Synthetic Lube every place that metal parts rub other metal parts--no plastic gears or belts.

I have a white speedy lock serger model 7340. I completely pulled all threads out and now trying to re-thread new thread. I have tried around 15 times. It will not loop. Threads don't interlock at all

Be sure that you are threading each thread in the correct order. The manual should have those instructions.

ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the machine!!!! For most machines, the upper looper is threaded first, the lower looper second (the lower looper thread finishes by draping OVER the top of the upper looper and then pulled toward the back of the machine), then thread the needles. Give each thread an extra little tug when threading the tension disk to make sure it is seated completely.

Even if you are unable to locate a tutorial for your particular machine, most models from the same era will thread the same.

Don't be surprised if it doesn't work the first, second, or even the third try. It took me most of a day to get mine threaded correctly the first time!!! Patience!

I have a new home janome model number 534 how do I

The Janome 534 that I know is an overlocker (or serger). If this is so, then when you open the front flap / door there should be a diagram showing the thread path. It is important though to first thread the inner (upper) looper, then secondly the outer (lower) looper, thirdly the inner (right) needle, and lastly the outer (left) needle.

White model 534 serger

Your serger most likely need to be oiled. It is important that you keep your serger clean and oiled. More so than your sewing machine. If this is a new squeak, you can try to oil the area that it is coming from yourself if you can get access to it. If it is not a new squeak it is possibly coming from the motor or the belt and then I wouldn't suggest to oil those parts. If you can't get to where the squeak is at bring it to a repair person and they should be able to take care of it.

Go to Husqvarna Vikings web site and use their dealer locator. Put in you zip code and you'll get the closest dealer to you. You pedal is also the same at the White model 534. That serger was actually made by White for Husqvarna Viking.
