Question about Estate TAWX700JQ Top Load Washer

1 Answer

My Estate washer will not drain.

The problem started with a sock in the pump. Pulled it out but now will only drain when I tilt the washer backwards. Did I damage the pump pulling the sock out? (Model # TAWX700JQ1). Thanks, Don

Hey Don, If you removed the cabinet to get to your pump, you had to unplug the wire that connects to your lid switch. Did you make sure to plug the lid switch plug back into it's plug-in on top of your cabinet under control panel when you re-installed the cabinet. Your washer won't spin or pump water if this is the case. I'd check that first, then check the lid switch itself for proper operation. Happy to help, Tim. please don't forget to rate my help. Thanks.

Whirlpool cabrio washer f 33 error code

Whirlpool Cabrio strange fix. This thing acted strange, If I went to drain spin it would run trying to work but I could not cancel this function and would have to unplug to reset the machine I had the F 33 fault code, I pulled the drum out and found about $2.00 worth of change. Then I put the washer on it's face and removed the back panel then disconnected the hose to the pump and spun the impeller to make sure no blockage was present. lt was clear so I reassembled the washer and washed one load of clothes and had the same problem occur. Washer would not drain or spin. Went back to work on the washer and in the process of moving it out from the wall I disconnected a 4' hose that I hadn't disconnected the first time that I have running to the drain from the drain hose on the washer, at this point I noticed water coming out of the washer drain hose. To make a long story short my 4' drain hose addition had a ripped up sock plugging the hose. Unbelievably this sock made it through the washer and pump and plugged up the hose. I never thought a sock could make it past the impeller so if your Cabrio is not draining or spinning check the hose past the pump, you may have an easy fix.

Have an error code on my machine E20 - is it terminal?

You need to clear out the drain pump. E20 means drain blocked. You should be able to access the pump from the front bottom by unscrewing and removing the filter. If not then you will need to tilt the machine back as far as you can so you can access the underneath. You will see the small drain pump. Have a basin ready to catch any water that comes out when remove the pump which is only held in by 1 or 2 screws and twisted out or pulled out. If it is clear then try removing the pipe that goes from the pump to the base of the tub. Commonly a sock gets stuck. Hope this helps

Machine will not drain

If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port. Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job. If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

I can't get the water to drain out of my washer. It had a code that read LD when it broke any ideas

Most of the time I find coins or socks jammed in the drain pump. Turn machine 180 degrees, tilt up against wall, and pull pump. Dislodge whatever's lodged in it.

My estate washing machine wont drain. I dont know how to get the back off my machine or where the pump is to check and see if sock or something in it

You do not remove the back. The whole case comes off by first opening up the timer panel, then removing 2 clips and unplugging the lid switch on the case. If it runs but won't pump out, then something may be clogging the drain somewhere. If it will not run to pump out, the lid switch is bad.

Last night our Bosch ''Nexxt'' front loader literally ate a sock. At least I think it was a sock. The only remains are black lent. LOTS of black lent. It is giving an E:04=not draining error code. I have...

The best wat to remove the pump, is to disconnect the washer completely from the water supply, remove the drain hose from the stand pipe, unplug the washer, and tilt the washer backwards.
remove the lower plastic panel if there is one, and access the pump from underneath at the front.
Hope this helps.

GE washer not draining

You should have one. Get down low, and look at the kickplate. You should see screws just below the main front panel of the machine.

My washer will fill up and drain, but it wont agitate or spin

hi friend,
If your washer won't drain, check these:

It spins, but doesn't pump
It doesn't spin or pump
It pumps, but the water returns
It spins, but doesn't pump
If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many
washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub
that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's
attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the
hoses
from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the
large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using
needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator,
top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might
be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be
turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

It doesn't spin or pump
If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably
has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the
pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen
or stiff--replace it.

It pumps, but the water returns
If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine after the spin cycle, your
washer may be siphoning the water from a laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the
washer. The usual remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is something stuck
in the drain?) Also, check for these problems:

* If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess.

* If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Washer will fill and run but will not drain or spin.whirlpool estate stock# taws690a mod.# taws690ano ser.#cc4621151

Could be a bad motor, or something stuck in between the tubs, like a nail, wash cloth, sock.

Try to turn the belt both ways with no power on, unplug the machine, before you start. Take the Belt off, then turn the motor pulley , then turn the transmission both ways. All should turn freely.

On this model i believe you can just tilt the machine back to do all this.
