I have emailed facebook 100 times and even had a friend email them from her home computer. I can see my profile and all my nitifications are still being sent to my email address. Checking spam folder, configuring firewalls, etc..has all been done, I am way past that!

I have tried these things and below is what I get from them!

    To: Nicole Ovedia
    Subject: Facebook Password Security Reset

    Hey Nicole,

You recently canceled a request to change your contact email address. As a security precaution, your password has been reset. It is possible that the original request to change your contact email was made by a spammer or by malicious software. Please follow the steps below to make sure your computer and Facebook account are safe:

    1. Run Anti-Virus Software: If your computer has been infected with a virus or with malware, you will need to run anti-virus software to remove these harmful programs and keep your information secure.

    For Microsoft:

    http://www.microsoft.com/protect/viruses...
    http://www.microsoft.com/protect/compute...

    For Apple:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2550

    2. Set your password: In your new password, make sure to use a combination of numbers, letters, and punctuation marks that is at least six characters long.

To reset your password, follow the link below:

    https://login.facebook.com/reset.php?ema...
(If clicking on the link doesn't work, try copying and pasting it into your browser.)

    3. Never Click Suspicious Links: If one of your friend's accounts is compromised by a spammer or phisher, it may be used to send out bad links without your friend's knowledge. Be aware of what seems weird. Don't click on links you don't trust, and never run any programs on your computer without knowing what they are.

Also, be sure to use the most current version of your browser as it will have the most up to date security features and protections.

    4. Log in at Facebook.com: Make sure that whenyou access the site, you always log in from a legitimate Facebook page with the facebook.com domain. If something looks or feels suspicious, go directly to www.facebook.com to log in.

    5. Report Suspicious Activity: Please visit the following pages for further information about Facebook security and how you can report bad activity: http://www.facebook.com/help.php?page=42... and http://www.facebook.com/security.

Once you have performed all these steps, your account will be much safer. Please visit the Facebook Help Center for more information.

    Thanks,
    The Facebook Team

    Subject: Facebook Password Reset Confirmation

    Hey Nicole,

You recently requested a new password. To reset your password, follow the link below:
    https://login.facebook.com/reset.php?ema...
(If clicking on the link doesn't work, try copying and pasting it into your browser.) Please do not close your browser until the password page completely loads, which may take several minutes.

Please note that this email has been sent to all contact emails associated with your account.

If you did not reset your password, please disregard this message.
Check out http://www.facebook.com/help.php?page=17... if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

Yes I did this but here is the problem FACBOOK reset my password and I have no idea what they set it as...so when I do what you said this is what I get:

An email has been sent to all contact emails associated with your account, including niclcsw@comcast.net. This email describes how to get your new password.

Please be patient; the delivery of email may be delayed. Remember to confirm that the email above is correct and to check your junk or spam folder or filter if you do not receive this email.

I NEVER get the email that gives me the new password and if I type in an old password and try to reset it it gives me the account I tried to open since I lost my main account.

don't give up on me yet please :)

Check your email, look if it went into spam? try requesting the password again, it shouldn't take long to get the info.

    Found a email for facebook.

I want you to open up your work email, write a similiar email that I already sent.

    Heres the email:
    info@facebook.com

    Subject: Email notifications

In the email ask to have the email notifications turned on for this email address your sending the email from - I can't sign in to change the notification setting so please turn on the notifications for me. The password reset doesn't work because the notifications are turned off.

I think that should do it. wait for a reply and let me know if they respond.

I have been trying to log on to facebook for a month now. facebook would send new passwords over and over but would never work

Hi there, Just click the first link that is provided in the mail instead of entering the password reset code sent by Facebook. By clicking the first link, you won't be needing to enter the password reset code - it will open another tab wherein you can set your new password.
