SOURCE: bad picture until tv warms up

this is a very common occurance in these sets. toshiba has issued a servece bullteen with this set. Sorry to tell you this but this is a problem with some very small capacitors on what is known as the hypermodule. in my shop we fix 2 to 5 of these a month. you really have to know how to solder. Idealy replace the hypermodule is the best way. but......that board is hard to find. so we replace these 11 very very small componets with twezzers and a big magnifier. we charge about 250 to 350 for this repair.

SOURCE: wavy line or scrambled picture when l turn the tv

If you have a normal picture with lines through it, or if the picture jumps, tears or rolls, you have a Hyper Board that is failing. The last I checked, the Hyper Board is not available from Toshiba and has not been available for a number of years.
I hope this helps,
Skyassoc

Graphics wavy and sound sometimes not clear after flash on mb

First of all try to update your mobo bios again but with a different bios file.

Your issue can be due to faulty bios update, if there is any option to revert back to your original bios then do so if not try to update your mobo again with more recent bios file.

When I plugg my Hicon television up to my power supply and turn it on, it takes roughly 5 mins for the power supply to turn on. Is there a problem with the power supply?

Yes you are having a power supply problem and the culprit might be the main filter capacitor. On opening you might notice it would have bulged out and might be leaking. You will have to get it replaced.

My lg television switches back to stand by mode an have no pictur

Have the power supply checked for buldging capacitors on the power supplu, if you take off the back of the unit look near the power connector the goes from the Power supply to the main control board, you will find two capacitors that are starting to puff on their tops. The rating on the caps are 1000uf caps rated at 10 volts replace with 1000uf 16 volts caps instead.

Chevy cavalier wont start randomly! makes one click and a humm sound my lights come on the radio comes on but the car just wont start, ive had battery replaced along with the ignition switch, fuel pump,...

Ok then, from your description and the
make/model/year of the car you have there,
it appears you've reset the VATS.

The car's security immobilizer
reader at the key switch
does not recognize the coded
chip in the ignition key any longer.

You can try to put the key
in the ignition, turn to the on position &
wait at least 10 min like that.
(Do not turn off the key switch before
10 minutes as elapsed!)

Once done, the key is re-programmed and
should allow the fuel injectors to work again.
The car would start now if corrected.

In some cases, the VATS (GM'S VEHICLE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM)
will re learn the code this way, and will then
allow the restart, however if this does not work,
then you can simply tow it to any GM vehicle dealer
to have the service department re code it.

There is a permanent solution though.
Adding the PLJX Self learning Bypass module (59.95)
will bypass the PASSLOCK system in your vehicle
for good. See this at www.PASSLOCK2.com

Good luck I hope method 1 does the trick!

Here is the 30 min relearn:

Ignition keys relearn takes about 30 min to do. 30-Minute Learn Procedure 1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON; the vehicle will not start. 3. Observe the SECURITY tell tale light. After approximately 10 minutes, the light will turn OFF. 4. Turn OFF the ignition switch, and wait 5 seconds. 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 - two more times - for a total of 3 cycles of 10 minutes. 3x10 = 30 minutes. The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch turn from OFF to CRANK Important: Turn the Ignition Switch OFF. The vehicle learns the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle. 6. Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password. 7. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed. History DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles. Without a scan tool you may have momentary starter interruptions while history clears itself.

I need the model number to be sure. I am guessing that a 2200uf or a 3300uf capacitor in the main power supply is going bad. Call a good TV Tech and explain it to him. He should know where to find it and replace. Should cost around $175 at the most.

53h71 toshiba projection TV with noise in picture

The problem you have is on the hyper module located behind the rear input panel. Inside the shield there are about 6 or 7 10mf/16v surface mounted capacitors. Replace them and your problem will be history. As for the shop that did the repair they owe you a call back to do it right. However, request that you get a different tech to come out. Do not attempt the repair yourself, it involves excellent soldering skills and parts removal. Good luck
