No,ur tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv convergence board must have it 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors must be replaced to solved the convergence problems.The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

Check with Sony to see if your set still falls under the natural or extended manufacturer's warrantly. Most optic blocks are warrantied for 2 years (3 years or more on some models).

Do you normally leave this set on a specific channel...such as CNBC or BLOOMBERG tv...etc that maintains a regular scrolling image???
If so...on sets that are a few/several years old...the projection tv screens can develop what's called a "burn" or "burned image" on the screen...similar to wearing a path in your carpet from heavy traffic areas. Newer models do not have this issues...but many older ones do.
Hi, Seems convergence out IC is fried in TV so it gives blue shadow.
Check out Convergence Out IC which you need to replace in TV, if you have enough experience of repair of big TV, necessary tools and know basic electronics.
