If you can't see bios on start up, after pessing F8 on xp, try with F2 and F4 .. if nither of that work, try to unplug pover cable , reset bios by pulling out little battery on mother board, that how you will reset cmos, and out bios on default state. And maybe than it will enable you your agp port.. try and let me know..

How do i disable onboard video on a intel d865glc motherboard?

A couple things to try:
  1. Most important, check with Intel's support site to see if you have the latest version of the BIOS.

  2. Boot to the BIOS: Choose "Configuration", then "Video", choose "Enable if Primary" or if you're feeling brave choose to Disable it entirely. WARNING: DON'T do this until your other card is working properly! You've been warned!

  3. While still in BIOS: Choose "Configuration", then "Video", choose "AGP" if available, or "Auto" if AGP is not an option.

Information from Intel support website.

Ive installed the ati his radeon ice q graphics card and my computer will not boot,Why?

hook monitor cable back to your onboard video port then 1st make sure you have already downloaded the driver for your new graphics card. then at start up go into system setup and go to your display and make sure that you have your new graphics card enabled as your primary graphics instead of onboard video. it will say something like 1.Onboard 2. AGP/OR PCI MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE YOUR ONBOARD ENABLED AS YOUR PRIMARY VIDEO. AFTER THAT JUST SAVE AND EXIT THE JUST HOLD POWER BUTTON DOWN TILL PC SHUTS DOWN THEN SWITCH YOUR CABLE MONITOR CABLE FROM THE ONBOARD TO THE AGP/PCI CARD THEN RESTART YOUR PC. THEN YOUR PC WILL SAY FOUND NEW DATA AND WILL INSTALL THE DRIVER YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED FOR IT THEN YOU SHOULD BE OK IF THE CARD IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE MOTHERBOARD

When i install my video card the screen is blank

Use onboard graphics and enter the BIOS/CMOS by pressing the delete key during boot.

Go through the options, some-where there, there should be an option to enable PCI-Express slot, PEG when one is inserted. This need to be set.

So onboard VGA is disabled unless PCI-E Graphics card/PEG is inserted.

My video port on pc won't show any thing display on my monitor. installed a video card and it works. cant leave that card in there it belongs to another working computer. what could be the problem?

Restart the computer, and enter BIOS SETUP.
Ensure that the "onboard-video" is set to ENABLED.
Also, check the "priority" of video-adapters, i.e., "primary is onboard video" versus "primary is PCI/AGP video-card".

Is visiontek a radeon hd 2400 pro agp 8 compatible w/ p4s800- mx?

ATI has recently written some better drivers for the 2400 Pro AGP cards,... Make sure the setting in the BIOS for the motherboard is set to the AGP or PCI for primary video. For AGP, make sure that you have the power from the power supply connected to the video card. Make sure that your motherboard does support 8X AGP video cards. If you are not sure, please check with motherboard manufacturer for compatibility.

Videocard wont work

Hi jazzcowboy,

Your Asus P4GE-V uses an intergrated graphics card.
Onboard VGA [Auto] Page 4-22. User manual.

If the bios is set to Enabled, the onboard VGA is enabled.
When you add an AGP card your bios will not see it.
You must change the bios setting to [Auto] so the system will see your AGP video card.
