I have a apw wyott eletric hot plate model chp-1a. Lately, it keeps on tripping the circuit. Can any one tell what's wrong? thanks. tt

If the breaker trips immediately when you plug it in, then you have a short in the power cord. If it trips when you turn it on then look for a short at the switch or the burner element. If it stays on a while and heats up then trips, it could be a fault inside the element or possible wiring connectors that are not good and tight. Look for discoloration in the wires and connectors.

I have an earthwise 12 amp electric lawnmower that trip the circuit breaker and now will not start at all. Any suggestions on what might be wrong and how I could fix it

If the circuit breaker trips there are three possible reasons
1. the motor is being overloaded - clean underneath ( as recommended above); or if the grass is too wet or too long or both you may need to handcut; or the motor bearings need lubricating (same problem as me-how?)
2. There is an electrical fault - check the plug and cord (as above) or get an electrician to check the motor and connections; or the carbon brushes to the motor need replacing
3. You have a faulty circuit breaker! - borrow and test with a replacement

I have lost the key to my 60 volt cordless Remington cordless mower. Can I hotwire the three wires going to the handle somehow?

You can do this ,but why take a chance of burning up your mower. You should be able to buy a key for this unit from your local dealer. I believe these keys are all of same cut, like a light switch. this way if you can con someone else into mowing your lawn, they can't say I'm not mechanical and don't know how to jump wires, or worst , see first sentence.I feel this will be the easier way. GOOD LUCK.

I have the Remington Cordless Power Mower Model MPS6017A. The battery, after three summers, no longer powers the mower, so I am looking to buy a replacement battery, SB60A, and I am having no luck finding...

The Remington battery has 5 Alkaline battery cells. The model batteries are Yuasa NP5-12T, NP 5-12T .250 terminal or Equivalent. It is a very Easy R & R job. Takes about 10 minutes. You should be able to pick up the batteries for around $10 - $15 each.

How do you remove the axle cap on a Remington electric mower to replace a (broken) wheel?

those you have to break off and replace with a new cap, because when you put them on the barb in the cap digs into the shaft to help hold it on

Batter life in the second season

When batteries are only used seasonally, and they are stored, they can become damaged from weather or from storing them when they are not fully charged. In general, batteries used seasonally will have a shorter lifespan, so it sounds like you likely need a new battery. Check out http://www.batteryinternational.com/electric-lawn-maintenance-batteries.html for a replacement, and be sure to charge it fully before storing.

Remington Axcess hedge trimmer wont run at all.

Check your fuel lines. It is probably getting air into the system. Also check inside the gas tank to make sure the fuel pick up line is still attached.

If you need more assistance please provide an exact model number and I can better help you.

Remington electric tiller circuit breaker goes off

For about $20.00 you can buy 50 feet of 12 guage 3 wire yellow extention cord. You will then get all the amps you need to run your unit. If it still fails, you have a problem inside the tiller.
