Question about Fellowes Office Equipment & Supplies
My Fellowes Shred300 works slowly, the paper moves, stops and moves, and its loud (perhaps gears). It only works w/one paper at a time. I lubricated the blades with a bit of light machine oil but the problems remain. A sign on it warns against opening so I have not checked for dust, etc. Advice? I can't find an online manual. It's probably an older model.

If this unit is worth it to you, you can build your own gear.
Here is a link to get plastic repair materials to make plastic parts. This site also will have materials for repairing plastics.
Another possibility is to search Ebay for a unit like yours which has other problems. Never can tell... it may be there.
Make sure you ask for the model of the unit in your search (on the NET as well. The serial in this case is not needed.

Testimonial: "Thank you very much for the instruction book for the shredder 50CS - it is brilliant, and we actually shredded the instruction manual by mistake !!"
Inside the motor assembly there are a series of nylon cogs , a large one of which interacts with a metal one. This is the most likely place you have one or two teeth missing from the large nylon cog that drives the shredder blades.
