Problem for Agfa SnapScan 1212p Flatbed Scanner
Driver needed to update my Agfa Snapscan 1212p to use with windows Vista
I have a New Computer with windows Vista is it possible, to get a driver so I can operate my Agfa Snapscan 1212p with the new computer?
the new scanner printer I have is NOT as good as my faithful Agfa Spapscan 1212p.

- I've fixed mine so it works with vista fine. If you download the latest driver from the agfa site (the SnapScan software), or install your original from the disk that came with the scanner, it will work with Vista if you right click on the program, go to properties and change compatibility mode to windows 95. You then have to run the scanner software in admin mode. Mine now works fine and I've been scanning in all day... Hope this helps.- EcrodoriasFeb 04, 2008

Agfa have a 1212u driver on their site for XP and always have had although they pulled out of scanners years ago.

Agfa will not make XP or Vista drivers in the future for these scanners as it stopped its desktop scanners and digital camera business in September 2001.

I from Chile and the solution I write in Español
tienen que descargar el driver de la pagina de agfa http://static.agfa.com/digicam_scanner_drivers/
luego renombrarlo cambiando la extensión exe a zip y descomprimirlo en alguna carpeta,
colocan instalar manualmente y dan la dirección de la carpeta donde descomprimieron el archivo,
win da una alerta que el driver no esta firmado, proceden y con esto queda el driver instalado sin incompatibilidad, pueden revisar el “administrador de dispositivos”.
Para scanear, sobre el icono del scanwise, colocan propiedades (boton derecho del mouse) y en compatibilidad colocan con win95
no olviden instalar el driver para que se instale el scanwise
suerte y saludos
