Leave it plugged in for about 10 minutes. The battery just needs to charge a little more. Then you can come out of sleep mode.

If it is locked in sleep mode. Just hold the power button down to shut off the computer. Let it charge, you can now reboot, and keep charging after about ten minutes.

When I start up my Coby netbook the screen in black. However I can hear windows loading. What can I do?

Does your netbook have a vga out? If it does then try testing your netbook by connecting it to a compatible external monitor by connecting a vga cable. If you see youre regular boot up in the external monitor (because you said that you can hear your netbook boot and i pressume that it is windows that you are hearing) then theres something wrong with your netbooks monitor.
Have it checked by a proffesional.

Wont boot up..black screen

It could be a wide verity of things. Follow this list and you should find your solution.
1. Plug the computer into the wall so that it gets power. It could be that the battery went flat or that the power pack is broken. 2. Try turning it on. Check if it makes any noise like a fan, or if you feel any vibrations. If its plugged in and you do not hear anything when you try to boot it up, it is a bad power pack. 3. If you do hear noise it is your display that has dyed. I would check if the computer is under warenty and if it still is to send it back to Acer so that they can repair it for free.

Black screen, no response. Restarted several times.

Please follow the diagnosis outlined in this article to check whether the backlight lamp or the inverter board are the root cause of the problem or not:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r6430776-troubleshooting_laptop_power_failures

If you connect the external monitor & nothing is displayed on it, then this means that both the backlight lamp & the inverter board are fine. The main indicators in these cases are the sound, and the hard drive LED on the netbook's case. If the netbook sounds just like it always does for a minute or two after being turned on, it means it's going ahead and booting the operating system, but the video processor or part of the motherboard circuit for video output has failed. If the netbook just sits there and beeps when you turn it on, or if you hear the fan but not the hard drive chuckling with its active LED flashing away, it means the netbook isn't getting as far as trying to boot the operating system. While this could be due to any number of hardware problems, the most common and easiest to troubleshoot or repair is RAM failure. If your netbook has two RAM modules installed, try booting with just one and then the other in the primary slot. If your netbook only has one RAM module, you might consider buying one online from a site with a good memory selector, like Crucial.com
