My hp keyboard has special keys that are not working.

On the left side are icons such as an envelope, search icon, question mark in a circle which do not seem to be set. I cannot put a question mark in a circle directly when typing, as something else comes up.

I had an hp keyboard on my old pavilion 512. The same problem with special keys. Go to the control panel, click keyboard and see if there is a Buttons tab. The special keys can be programed there.
If no Button tab. Go to the hp website and locate the specific model you have and see if there is a download for the keyboard driver.
