Question about Refrigerators

Frigidaire Fridge is not very cold in side

I have a Frigidaire RLE1405 and I did have it installed into an enclosed gap in my fitted kitchen but it never seemed to get very cold in side. I then took the fridge out of the enclosure and is now free standing however it has not made that much of a difference. The fridge has power and the compressor does seem to be working (I hear it clicking on and off and is warm to the touch).

I moved my GE TFX277PFSB (new in 1994) side by side to my enclosed sun porch 2 years ago when i got a new fridge for the kitchen. Today, I decided to run a water line to it to allow it to make ice again. ...

Make sure the arm on the icemaker is in the down position,if it is up and locked in place the icemaker is off. If it is down and the icemaker is turned on,each time it got cold enough the to cycle the icemaker(usually about a hour) the icemaker started and for 7 years power was sent to the water inlet valve to fill the icemaker and the icemaker side of the water valve is burnt up. The water valve has 1 inlet teh house water supply attaches to and 2 outlets 1 for icemaker and 1 for door dispenser

Hi, I have a frigadaire rle1405 larder fridge that does not get cold, could you please tell me where the defrost timer is on this model. Thank you.

Many of the frigidaire units had problems with the defrost termination thermostat located in the freezer compartment. (I have repaired many). It is around 12 dollars
It is clipped to a tube located in behind the freezer back panel. take out the
plastic vent and motor, unplug the motor (very carefully to prevent pulling out the
leads) the defrost termination thermostat has two leads and is clipped onto a
tube. The replacement will have heat shrink and wire nuts, but I often use
**** splices under heat shrink tubing to ensure no moisture gets into the connections and a dab of silicone at the ends of the heat shrink. Make sure the "colder" knob
is set in the middle on the vent stack as this will cause problems if set to "colder".
I have only seen one defective defrost timer (incorrectly assembled) which caused the
gear to stick in one position. You can manually rotate the timer to check operation with
a screwdriver in the access hole on the bottom of the temp control panel. (oddly the new timers are of a different make if it has failed). Unplug unit before servicing.

My ice and water dispenser is leaking

I am not an expert on refrigerators, but generally you hook a 1/4" (copper or plastic) line to a solenoid valve to the back of your refrigerator, which you then hooks up to a filter, which then ties into an existing compression fitting, or saddle tap on a cold water line (usually on the kitchen sink). Some refrigerators have a place for a filter to fit which runs to the cold water, and not an exposed rear solenoid.
