You gotta get a new fuse and take the button pannel off. it might be hard but keep pushin' ( with a flathead.) it'll snap back on. the fuse is behind that.

Is it safe to use an epoxy grout in my Amana RSW458P microwave oven? About an inch of the grout in the bottom back corner, where the bottom meets the side wall, has peeled away.

this must be an oldie cus im not in the knowlege of any microwaves that are sealed with grout , most all today are heat sealed using an ultrasonic weld that i know of
but i caution you using non food grade materials inside any oven, heat generated by cooking may leak out chemicals in sealers and "grout" that are not designed for food and poision the food inside id contact Amana directly and inquire about them selling you a tube of this sealer ?

maybe you have to adjust the temperature (if there's any) or the time you need to heat the food. or check for damage within the appliance

Will not heat or cook food

HI.usual problem if it does not heat food is the MAGNETRON.It is a filament that is responsible of producing heat. You have to open the bottom part of yuor oven and chec\k this filament if it is still working. You can check the continuity of the filament if it has.Using a MULTITESTER set it to OHMS value.Connect it to both ends of the filament and then check if pointers moved. If it means it does works but if its not either its defective. You need to replace it with a new one..Hope this helps..

Microwave works but doesn't heat food.

check if it heats through a different outlet by its self if not element is shot but if it works you need a better electrician unfortunately because you might have a new fire hazard with incorrect wiring but thats really only way to find out

Amana microwave is loud and doesn't heat. Light

Magnetron went out causing a short-circuit of sorts. Replace magnetron.

No heat

The most common causes are a bad door switch, a loose connection at the magnetron terminal, a bad magnetron, a bad high voltage diode, a bad connection on the control panel, or a bad relay on the control panel. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info (as well as a text file which helps in diagnosing and repairing door switch problems) at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: Or call 877-477-7278 M-F 10am - 9pm Eastern time. If you're not interested in doing it yourself, you can find a local Amana / Maytag servicer here:
