I have a Dometic A/C model 59516.531, the compressor will not start. The unit was working last week and this week not. The 3 year parts warranty expired on May 9th 2009. I have tried a new start/run capacitor and still the compressor will not start. The unit has the Comfort Control Module and the fan runs in all modes, H,M,L, and Auto. Any assistance would be appreciated.
There are a few more things to try, in the control unit of the AC there is Cold Control/Freeze Switch. Take down the control unit (inside unit, remove inner shroud) and remove the cover, The freeze control is plugged into the blue plug on the board. Remove the plug and install a jumper wire in its place. Does the compressor come on? If so, you have a bad freeze control. If not, then we need to check and see if your AC power module is sending power to the Compressor. Check power across the relay in the control unit, Black to Blue. If the blue wire is hot, then you need to go upstairs to the top of the compressor and check the thermal overload. If the blue wire is not hot, the comfort control center may not be sending a signal to turn the compressor on. If it is not, do a reset of the CCC. For a five button system, turn the tstat off and hold down the Mode and Zone buttons simultaneously. While holding them down, turn the CCC on and hold the buttons until FF appears on the screen. Release the buttons and try the AC. Four button reset - Depress MODE switch to activate annunciator light. Simultaneously depress the bottom two buttons (temperature UP and DOWN) and hold. While holding these buttons down, depress the MODE button once and release. Release the two buttons previously held down. Depress the MODE button once again. At this time the light should extinguish, and the mode should register “OFF”. If not, repeat Steps 2 through 6. Retest system ensuring that all functions are present and operational.
Check your voltage to the unit. You may have the 24 volts for the t-stat but not the volts you need to start the comp. Sometimes ants can get in the contacts and will not allow the unit to energize.

I have an Intertherm EP1500 portable heater. It's 7 foot long exactly, 120 Volt, 1500 watt. Intertherm was bought out by Cadet and this model equates to the Cadet model EPA 1500. I need to find what I believe is a thermostat connected to the heating element, but some are referring to it as a limit. It's black, round plastic, a bit smaller than a dime and has two wires going into it. It's physically broken. I'm hoping to find a replacement as this things virtually indestructible minus this part. Let me know if you need more info or a picture uploaded somewhere, I'd be happy to do that. Really appreciate your time:)

I recently had some Mitsubishi Mr. Slim units installed in my home (MSZA09NA, MSZA24NA, and MSZ-FD12NA are the inside units and the outdoorcondensers are: MXZ4A36NA for the first two listed and MUZ-FD12NA forthe latter.) I've noticed that they take upwards of 5 minutes before they start spitting out any warm air. I can hear the beep after I press the remote which leads me to believe the command was sent. I live in the northeast but we haven't had any real cold days/nights that would ''freeze'' the condensers. Is this normal? Thanks.
