Recieving nasty text messages

Please help me locate the owner of the following mobile number 07890481011 because whoever this person is they heve been sending me text messages of a nasty, insulting, theatening and distressing manner. They have started using the number above which is different from the one they were using back in june.I have rang the number and it just tells me the person i have called is not available and to leave a message.I am taking diasepam to try to calm myself down and to get my blood pressure down which is sailing dangerously high.It is someone who knows me or my fiance because they say my name (correctly spelt) and discribes mike my fiance also. The police don't want to know they just said change my sim card but this is a new sim card anyway so why should i have to again. Please help me why there is someone who we think cares for us but is doing this to stop us being happy.I know its someone we know well because no-one else knows my number besides my family and mikes family. This is scaring me because they might come after my daughters as they have already said they were coming to my work place and they said were i work and then sais they were coming to my home and said were i lived. Please help me my mobile company said i have to contact orange but i can't find a number

Re: recieving nasty text messages

I would not even worry about this. Have they done anything that they have threatened to do? It's somebody that is very close to you and wants to see you in despair and it's working.

Re: recieving nasty text messages

The police should do something about this really!
this sounds really awful and i would be at wits end to!
when ya phone up and it goes onto not availableplease leave a message does tell ya like orange answer phone or o2 voicemail etc it sounds like a o2 number to me!
i would phone up the network provider ie o2 and tell them whats going on and they might do something about it cause i know in you terms and conditions of use of sim this is not allowed and plus if they are stupid enough they might registered the sim then they would have all the details of the person!
hope ya get this person cause this totally uncalled for!

How to change number when sending text messages, iPhone

<p>Sending an SMS from your mobile phone does not need to be complemented with your mobile phone. Google Voice and Spooftel allow you to send a text message from your phone using an application that turns your phone. You need a Google phone Voice to text messages and Spooftel is only available to "jail-broken" iPhones. <br /> <p><br /> <p>Google Voice <br /> <p>1. Visit Google and click on "More" followed by "More" and "Voice". <br /> <p><br /> <p>2. Log into your Google account and click "create an account." Enter your personal data and click "I accept. Create my account." You will receive an e-mail to your alternate account: Click the link in the email to verify your account. <br /> <p><br /> <p>3. Click "Get a Number" and enter your area code and / or word phrase to use as a phone number and click 'Search'. Select the desired number and click Continue. " <br /> <p><br /> <p>4. Enter a PIN code to access your voice mail account. PIN codes must be four digits and can not name the number or range of numbers. Click "Continue" and fill in your phone. <br /> <p><br /> <p>5. Click "Call Me Now." You receive a call to your other number for verification purposes. Enter the code shown on the configuration page of Google Voice and wait for confirmation. After the confirmation number, your account will be set up and ready for use. <br /> <p><br /> <p>6. Open the browser on your mobile phone and go to the address Google Google mobile application downloaded to your mobile phone. Go to your Google account and click "Menu" followed by "Compose" to create and send a text message. The message is sent through your Google Voice number. <br /> <p><br /> <p>SpoofTel <br /> <p>1. Enter a "Prison Break" Cydia on your iPhone and charge the device. This makes it possible to accept non-Apple applications. <br /> <p><br /> <p>2. Open Cydia and hit the "Search" icon. Enter "SpoofTel" in the search box and hit the title when it appears in search results. <br /> <p><br /> <p>3. Click "Install" and "Confirm" to install the application on your mobile. if you want to get the information of a owner of a mobile number, use the steps below.
press *69, hitting these three numbers consecutively on your phone, then, redial the last number that called you.
When the person answers, you might recognize the voice and the mystery will be solved.

Search for the number in Google.
some numbers, particularly commercial ones, entering them into Google and doing a search will provide the information you want.

Use a phone look-up service.
You can find good phone look-up services online.
You just type the phone number and it will show you the location, owner details (including address and detailed information) etc.
websites that offer this service have a complete and updated database, so it's safe to look-up phone numbers with them.
this is one of the website phone-se.

No service on my unlocked HTC Touch HD

Check that your o2 number is activated and in-service by using it on another handset or just call the o2 helpdesk to get your number activated if it is a new service,
If you can assess that your new o2 number is in service and the HTC Touch still does not work, then your handset has not been fully unlock as they are basically two types of locks:
1) The 'normal' Network lock that allows any 'Orange' SIMs to work on the device (basically unlocked by NUK code)
2) The 'nasty' SIM lock' that only allows a SINGLE number on a specific SIM card to work on the locked device.
In either cases, make sure that you get all restriction lifted.

Hope it helps: let me know how you go and good luck!

Got a tracker on my phone but dont know how to use it I have no instructions in my manual

You enter a phone number which you would like to be contacted through in the event your phone is lost or stolen. You can also include a message.

When your sim is removed from the phone and replaced with the 'finders' sim your mobile will automatically send a text message with the wording you have inputed to your chosen number. This wll include the phone number of the sim which is now being used in your missing handet,

This means you have a contact number for the person who is in possession of your phone

You have to contact your network operator to get your GPRS activated. If already activated, then proper MMS setting have to be defined in your mobile. If your mobile model is a standardised model then you will receive the settings automatically from your network operator. Or else you have to define the MMS profile manually be getting manual settings from your network operator. Then you can send MMS using this profile provided MMS is already activated for your mobile number.

I have the Nokia N95 Mobile phone, and recently whenever I recieve a text message it will not show up saying new text message, the only way i found out is by frequently visiting my inbox and seeing that...

Give it a soft reboot i.e. remove the battery while the phone is powered up and leave disconnected for approx. 30seconds. Reinsert the battery and it should all be fine. Ive jsut had this problem on mine and its fixed now, plays the alert and shows up on the mian screen.

Sending text messages, i can recieve messages but not send them. it keeps telling me to check message centre number, but i cant find it in my phone.

THe message center number if located mostly in messages->settings->center number.
also there is an option like "send via same center" try checking and unchecking it.
Tell the model to be more specific.
You can always get the msg center number from the service provider helpline(customer care)
