Check if the cables that connect the front USB to the motherboard are connected properly. They might just have gone loose.

My frontal USB port won't work?

If this item is still under warranty return it, or try a system restore before this happened, not possible! Do a complete recovery of the operational system, if this fails to activate the front usb ports it indicates a hardware issue.

Hi - I have a shuttle xpc sxh57 core i7 model. A couple of days ago - it stopped sending a dvi signal to the monitors. I have replaced the video card, tried clearing the CMOS and cleaned dust. The fans and...

I suggest try the HDMI connection on your machine and see if its able to give display, since you purchase a new Video Card I assume it have a HDMI port. Or try different monitor with a DVI port if you really want a DVI connection, If it works it means the DVI port on your monitor is faulty.

Hope it helps.

Usb ports on processor does not work

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click System
Click Hardware
Click Device Manager
Expand the "USB Serial Bus Controllers" branch.
Any "yellow" or "red" icons indicate that the device-driver software for your USB ports is not installed, or it is incorrectly installed.

Since your Shuttle motherboard uses a VIA chipset, VIA says:

For Win2K and WinXP, due to licensing agreements, a VIA USB2 driver package cannot be distributed online. Driver support for VIA USB 2.0 controllers requires Windows XP SP1 (Service Pack 1), Windows 2000 SP4, or system upgrade through Windows Update.

So, just run Microsoft Windows Update, and look in the "Optional Hardware" section for available downloads for the USB 2.0 ports on your motherboard. Select and download and install the update.
