    Thanks for the info.

I think the electric motor has gone as neither switch lifts the window. I have had to unbolt the glass as it will not push up from inside. Any other ideas??

You'll have to take the door panel, from the inside of the door off,and lift the window by hand.

if you can't lift it by hand. you may want to take it to a shop to replace the motor. that way you don't break it trying to pry on it.

2004 Jetta, window elec.window stuck down.No window showing. How can I get to window to pull up manually.?

The weather map shows you have another storm center forming so best to get to the window ASAP. You will have to remove the inner panel of the door to get access to the window. You may find it has fallen out of the track but check for problems with motor, controls, and linkage. Once window is back in the tracks, try power operation. As a temporary fix, you may be able to separate the window from the lift hardware and lift it up to closed position then tape it or wedge it in position.

How do you change a water pump on a 2004 pt crusier?

I'm not sure how mechanically inclined you but to do the water pump on that vehicle is labor intensive and if it is a turbo it is even more so the water pump is located behind the timing cover

My 2005 PT Crusier driver side windows won't work, front and back...passenger side both fine.??????

This sounds like the window motor is bad, try holding the switch in the up or down postion and bang on the inside of the door panel and if the window moves then you will know its the motor, the motor is the most common problem but testing would be nice to make sure, you would need to remove the door panel and with a test light test at the connector that plugs into motor,

Ingition fuse keeps blowing 2004 pt crusier

Too much combination of voltage/current. Fuses are to keep things from over-heating/catching fire. If you replace that fuse with a larger one, it won't blow as often, but it defeats the purpose of the original fuse, which is to limit your voltage/current.

hope it works

Chrysler code P0572 need help

Trouble Code: P0572

Brake Switch Signal No. 1 Circuit Low

Trouble Code Conditions:Ignition is on. When PCM recognizes that brake switch is mechanically stuck in the low/on position, a DTC will set. Three global good trips are necessary to turn off MIL.

Possible Causes:

* Brake switch signal circuit is shorted to ground
* BS No. 2 signal open
* Brake switch is damaged or has failed
* PCM has failed

i would check the brake switch first located under dash and when brake is pushed it hits switch turn ignition on and test the wires if all hot then switch is bad, other wise there is a short or bad pcm and these are not easy fixes requires knowledge of car wiring and diagnostic tools/computer

My 2004 chysler pt crusier wont backup it make a noise going forward

I'm not sure if you have a manual or automatic transmission. Sometimes the manual transmissions have trouble going into reverse and you need to hold it in while letting out the clutch for it to engage positively. If you have an automatic transmission, check the transmission fluid level and see if it smells burnt or abnormal.

Post a comment with a few more details and we will get back to you.

Thanks,

Tim

2004 pt crusier shifting down hard is it transmission

Sounds like you have more than one problem there. best bet might be to stop in at autozone, or Pep Boys for a free trouble code scan, just to see if anything comes up, then get back with results. As far as the AC goes, can you see or hear your AC compressor kicking in when on AC mode?
