My be stuck or bad compressor. plugged out door coil may need washed out. Tech will need to figure out if compressor is running or out of freon.Burnt wire can also cause no cooling plus bad intermal valves in compressor.

If it is a window unit, you can clean the filter turn power off before so.
That is most likely the problem try that before replacing it.

The freon is fully charged but the air keeps getting warmer until there is no longer any cold air. It still blows air but it's warm. Does this sound like the compressor is bad??

do you have to recharge it after it starts blown warm if so its just got a leak and leaking all your freon out if its holding all freon then compressor must be bad

Air blows cold in rear but warm in front vents.

If it is cold in the rear, that eliminates the "freon" part of the system. (It apparently has enough freon and the compressor is apparently working.)

So that leaves you with a blend-air door problem on the front A/C unit. That may be a blend-air door actuator, a broken blend-air door, or a faulty control head. (Proper diagnosis required)

A/C unit in attic is leaking a substantial amount of water

It can be a low refrigerant(freon) issue, dirty coils, too slow fan motor.

Air conditioner starts blowing cold air then blows warm

This is most likely the cycling of the AC unit. As the compressor pressurizes the 134a Freon you get the cold air, once it reaches a certain pressure it cuts out. If you are low on Freon it will cycle out more often. Check your freon level with a gauge to see if your within the proper tolerance. If the compressor runs for a period and doesn't reach the right pressure it will cut out to keep from damaging your compressor so it is important to keep the correct amount of freon in the system.

Compressor will not stay on.

very good possibility that it is low on freon. If indoor unit is blowing ambient air, not cooling is happening. If this is the case and you are sure the compressor is running and then shutting off, the compressor could be overheating and the internal overload is taking out the compressor. If outdoor fan runs and compressor runs, probably cause. If capacitor is bad, unit would most likely not run that long. While unit is running, feel the large line at the condensing unit. If it is cold, and stays cold, could be something else going on. If stays warm, most likely low on freon.

AC unit outside blowing out cold air, vents

Sounds like compressor not running. may be a bad capacitor, could also be low on freon.
