Different letter appears from the one i've typed

In Run screen, press OPTN>F6>F5 (Angl). The Degree/Minute/Second key is the TAB above the F4 Key.
To use the key for example to type in 58 deg 33 minutes, 27 seconds type in 58, press F4, type in 33, press F4, type in 27 then F4. Press EXE. The screen displays 58.5575.
A new tab appears above F5. Press it to convert displayed result to DMS

Program Language:

Example: To change the language from ENGLISH to DEUTSCH (example), proceed as follows.
Precondition: COFFEE READY is displayed

1. Keep the Rotary Switch pressed until MAINTENANCE appears.
2. Turn the Rotary Switch until LANGUAGE ENGLISH is displayed.
3. Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. LANGUAGE ENGLISH
4. Turn the Rotary Switch until SPRACHE DEUTSCH (example) is displayed.
5. Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the setting. GESPEICHERT (example) appears briefly on the display. SPRACHE DEUTSCH (example)
6. Turn the Rotary Switch until EXIT is displayed.
7. Press the Rotary Switch to exit programming mode. BITTE WAHLEN (example).

I have often deal damage keyboard, and type of damage keyboard so much. For damage your experience, a variety of ways have been tried, but the result always failed. The best solution is replace keyboard.

Based on experience, three times I fix keyboard, without having to replace with a new keyboard.

First type of damage
All keyboard keys are not functioning, or functioning left side, right side not working
Solution
Remove the keyboard, and cut keyboard cable.



Second type of damage
When laptop is powered on, the sound (tiiiiiiiiiiit) so hard. When we press a button, suddenly appeared equal. example;
I press "y", y appears =======================
I press enter, appear =======================
Solution
Press and release button ~ ` , do it repeatedly, when turning on laptop until laptop access the operating system.

The result is
1. When laptop turned on, there was no sound. Laptop turns normal.
2. When I press buttons, does not appear equal to. So all buttons normal function
3. There are three buttons that do not function [ { , ] } , \ '

Third type of damage
When laptop is powered, it looks normal. After entering the desktop, buttons z, x, a, s, q, w, e, does not work. If another buttons is pressed, appear equal. example;
I press p, appear p=======================
Solution
Do not turn on laptop (about 3 weeks)
This solution does not make sense, there is no technical explanation, and this solution so strange.

The fact that I experienced
This case occurred on the Acer Aspire 4736z, OS Win XP Prof.
After laptop not turned on, more than 3 weeks, keyboard returns to normal. All buttons are functioning normally. I can not explain technically, but this case never happened.

Solutions for you
The best solution is replace keyboard.

Upgrading the firmware
The MFP has remote firmware update (RFU) capability. Use the information in this section to
upgrade the MFP firmware. The overall process involves the following steps:
1 Determine the current level of firmware that is installed on the MFP.
2 Go to the HP Web site and find out whether a firmware update is available. If an update is
available, download the latest firmware to your computer.
3 Transfer the new firmware from your computer to the MFP.
Determining the current level of firmware
To determine the current level of firmware, view the configuration information on the MFP control panel. To view the configuration information, follow these instructions.
1 Press MENU.
2 Touch INFORMATION.
3 Touch PRINT CONFIGURATION. The configuration page prints.
4 The firmware datecode is listed in the section called Device Information. The firmware
datecode has this format: YYYYMMDD XX.XXX.X. The first string of numbers is the date, where
YYYY represents the year, MM represents the month, and DD represents the date. For example, a firmware datecode of that begins with 20040225 represents February 25, 2004.
Downloading the new firmware from the HP Web site
To find the most recent firmware upgrade for the MFP, go to www.hp.com/go/lj4345mfp_software.
This page provides instructions for downloading the new firmware version.
Transferring the new firmware to the MFP
Use one of the following methods to update the firmware.
Using FTP to upgrade the firmware on a network connection
NOTE The MFP can receive an .RFU file update as long as it is in a "ready" state.
The elapsed time for an update depends on the I/O transfer time, as well as the time that it takes for the MFP to reinitialize. The I/O transfer time depends on a number of things, including the speed of the host computer that is sending the update. If the remote firmware update process is interrupted before the firmware is downloaded (while Receiving Upgrade appears on the control-panel display), the firmware file must be sent again. If power is lost during the flash DIMM update (while the Performing Upgrade message appears on the control-panel display), the update is interrupted and the message Resend Upgrade appears (in English only) on the control-panel display. In this case, you must send the upgrade by using the parallel port. Finally, any jobs that are ahead of the RFU job in the queue are completed before the update is processed.
Follow these instructions to perform the upgrade by using FTP.
To upgrade the firmware on a network connection by using FTP
1 Take note of the IP address on the HP Jetdirect page. The HP Jetdirect page is the second page that prints when you print the configuration page.
NOTE Before upgrading the firmware, make sure that the MFP is not in Sleep mode.
Also make sure that any error messages are cleared from the control-panel display.
2 Open an MS-DOS command prompt on your computer.
3 Type: ftp <TCP/IP ADDRESS>. For example, if the TCP/IP address is 192.168.0.90, type ftp
192.168.0.90.
4 Press Enter on the keyboard.
5 When prompted for the user name, press Enter.
6 When prompted for the password, press Enter.
7 Type bin at the command prompt.
8 Press Enter. The message 200 Types set to I, Using binary mode to transfer files appears in
the command window.
9 Type put <filename> where <filename> is the name of the .RFU file that was downloaded
from the Web, including the path. For example, type put C:\LJ\4345FW.RFU, and then press
Enter.
NOTE If the file name or path includes a space, you must enclose the file name or path
in quotation marks. For example, type put "C:\MY DOCUMENTS\LJ\4345FW.RFU"
The following series of messages appears in the command window:
? 200 PORT command successful
? 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection
? 226 Ready
? 226 Processing Job
? 226 Transfer complete
Then, a message that contains the transfer-speed information appears.
10 The download process begins and the firmware is updated on the MFP. This can take
approximately five minutes. Let the process finish without further interaction with the MFP or
computer.
NOTE The MFP automatically turns off and then on again after processing the upgrade.
11 At the command prompt, type: bye to exit the ftp command.
12 At the command prompt, type: exit to return to the Windows interface.

Using MS-DOS commands to upgrade the firmware
To update the firmware by using a network connection, follow these instructions.
1 From a command prompt or in an MS-DOS window, type the following: copy /B <FILENAME>
\\<COMPUTERNAME>\<SHARENAME>, where <FILENAME> is the name of the .RFU file
(including the path), <COMPUTERNAME> is the name of the computer from which the MFP is
being shared, and <SHARENAME> is the MFP share name. For example: C:\>copy /b C:
\9200fW.RFU \\YOUR_SERVER\YOUR_COMPUTER.
NOTE If the file name or path includes a space, you must enclose the file name or path
in quotation marks. For example, type: C:\>copy /b "C:\MY DOCUMENTS\3500FW.RFU" \\YOUR_SERVER\YOUR_COMPUTER.
2 Press Enter on the keyboard. The control panel shows a message that indicates the progress of the firmware upgrade. At the end of the upgrade process, the control panel shows the Ready
message . The message 1 file(s) copied appears on the computer screen.

Adjusting The Display

To increase or decrease the display's contrast so it is easier to read,
hold down FUNCTION, then press /\ or \/ on the cursor pad.

Playing The Game

1. Press ON/OFF to turn on the game.

If you have not worked a puzzle since installing or replacing the
batteries, CROSSWORD MASTER appears. Otherwise, the display is as it
was when the game was turned off.

2. To start a new puzzle at any time, press FUNCTION and 1 (I), 2 (O), or
3 (P) at the same time. 1 is for beginner-type games, and 2 and 3
increase in difficulty. NEW GAME LEVEL 1, 2, OR 3 Y/N appears.

3. Press Y to start a new puzzle. A crossword grid with flashing cursor
appears (O).

Otherwise, press N. The display appears as it was when you pressed
FUNCTION and 1, 2, or 3.

4. Press (or hold down) /\, \/, <, or > on the cursor pad to move the
cursor around the puzzle.

5. With the flashing cursor in the desired location, press ? to see the
clue(s) for the word(s) in that location.

Any letters you already entered appear, along with a dash for each
missing letter. The number of letters appears in parentheses - for
example, (5) for a solution with 5 letters. If the solution includes
more than one word, the number of letters for each word appears in the
format - for example, (5, 3, 4) for a solution with three words.

If the flashing cursor appears at the junction of two words (across
and down), both clues appear, across first, then down.

6. Press ? again to return to the crossword display, then use the letter
keys to type your answer.

If the flashing cursor was at the junction of two words and you enter
the first letter of your answer, two small arrows appear in the
adjacent across and down squares. Before typing the rest of your
answer, press > or \/ (across or down) on the cursor pad to indicate
which word you are entering.

Press /\ on the keyboard to erase the letter just above, and < to
erase the letter to the left of, the flashing cursor.

To erase a word, hold down FUNCTION and press WORD DELETE (Z).

To spell check the puzzle at any time, hold down FUNCTION and press
SPELL (T). The [+] symbol indicates the location of each incorrect
letter.

When you complete a crossword correctly, GAME COMPLETED appears.

7. Press ON/OFF to turn off the game. The current puzzle is saved.

i have the same problem. i don't know where to find the solution....
when i type faster some letters donw show or they have a shot delay ..

If, for example, you press f on the keyboard the file menu appears, the problem is that you've pressed the left or the right alt button accidently. press it again.

Does it type " by any chance when you press the @ key? if so this is usually because keyboard input is set to the wrong language in the regional & language settings are wrong in the control panel. try pressing the left alt key & shift at same time first this is a quick key to change between input languages.

Do the following steps:

1. Press and Hold Fn then Press Numlock/Scroll lock, if it works then good.
2. otherwise Press and Hold Shift Key then Press Numlock/Scroll lock.

yaa its nothing wrong. You have enabled your key for Numlock.

Hold Down Fn key (See bottom row, Left side of the keboard) and press Numlock key. Then your numlock will be off and Pressing K will type K.......etc.
